Nice win again. It is amazing how bad they can look at the beginning of a game and then show poise, especially in the second half. The defense looks pretty good overall. I wish we had more size for rebounds. It is what it is. Great game for Richards. He was our x-factor. Fudge is definitely Jeckel-Hyde in what he does. Amazing when he is on. Still need to get Lofton and Reeves lined out. WAY too many bad plays/shots to win against the better teams. Looking forward to seeing what Kugel can do by the end of the season. I think this team can claw their way to the 6th place spot in the SEC. If they get there and win a game in the tourney, they should make it into the NCAAs. The SEC is too good to not get plenty of the next level teams in.
Great win today! Our defense kept us in another game until we could get it rolling. Now we need to figure out the awful starts to each game. Maybe we should have a set play to run on our first possession.
That's actually an important part of coaching in-game, and it's fun to watch after the CMW era. Mike never really had that in his personality.
I can hear the pre-game huddle: "Okay, guys, remember, I want all five of you to be brick masons for the first ten minutes. Once they get real full of themselves, I'm turning you loose."
Jones earning his keep with good defense, solid ball handling , assists and even scoring sometimes. He is giving the Gators a solid composure guard like Lofton to our game. Kyle continues to be a gamer now that the SEC schedule has begun. These two are the reason that we are on a run. Thanks for coming to the Gators and giving it 100%.
Gets steals, some blocks, rebounds and has good hands. His shot is weird, but sometimes the threes go in. He is better with his mid range game and put backs. He threw in his FT’s down the stretch, which I say, Great game Myreon!
Hard fought game. Mizzou plays HARD and the style of officiating was to their taste. Good thing they shot poorly from the arc and we shot well and CC had a monster game. My only officiating complaint was the obvious flop that resulted in an offensive foul on CC instead of a technical for a flop. I don't think that the refs going to review could overturn the foul call and call the T for a flop but could only see if there was a flagrant 1 or 2. Otherwise it was a pretty consistently called game.
Kugel has the potential to be prime time, tampajack was right about his earlier posts suggesting the kid could be special.
According to this article: "As for the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET), the Gators now have a second "Quadrant 2" victory" Also: "The date with A&M, which has been one of the early surprise teams in the league with five straight wins, looks like it could be the Gators' seventh chance at a Q1 victory"
