Just something to think about folks... If the 13 million being reported by folks (in the know) and it turns out (as it seems from all the denials) that the 13 million in not close to accurate, why is anyone on here quoting or referring to anything else that the report with 13 million in it said??

If the 13 million is not accurate, I don't believe anything that report says.

    Patience is key right now.

From what I have seen the only people denying the 13 mil are fans. Did I miss a trusted source saying otherwise?

Goes back to the simple fact: wtf are HS kids who haven't even played a down of college ball getting paid more than many pros with proven history and abilities.

People are worried about minimum wage increases, what until the NFL players Union starts to bring this disparity up in negotiations.

All we can hope for is that NIL burns itself out after a few years when 5 stars bomb and the ROI falls apart.

    WTF?????

Blame the buyers, not the sellers.

The Denver broncos just sold for 6 billion. Are you really worried about a 250 million dollar payroll?

Without seeing the contract, it's not known if the 'supposed' letter sent by rojas on Dec 7 was based on an out clause, so i wouldn't assume anyone is screwed, whether there was an agreement or not. Also, it was stated by his lawyer that Rashada had signed an agreement with Miami prior to his committment with Miami. How did he get out of that? And if Rashada was trying to force the payment of the contract that was 'cancelled' and had intent to sue, why would he send in an LOI and not enroll? None of this makes sense so i wouldn't assume that the article you quoted is gospel. Just my opinion.

Not saying it's gospel and all of it is crazy but it's all we have to go on until more comes out if it ever does.

Most comments posted here when UT apparently secured a commitment from its 23 QB due in part to a outrageous financial agreement, was that how could they offer that kind of money to a kid that's never played a down of college football, in addition to the long term affect financial arrangements like this would have on college football?

Rashada to me was never a sure thing in as far as projecting his potential at the college level, in fact to me the best you could say about him was his potential. Which brings me to the 13 million figure being thrown around, Rasada isn't at this point from a player ability standpoint, a 13 million dollar marketable talent and my guess Napier and company in as the football people were concerned knew this too. So it's hard for me to believe they ever had any input with the negotiations and/or resulting financial agreement . It's possible however after details became known, Napier and the football folks associated with Florida football did come to know and in fact became alarmed...........if the whole (doing things the right way), is more than just lip service? I've read here about potential conspiracy to undermine Florida football, but I'm more inclined all of this boils down to lack of oversight as well as lack of involvement by true football people.

I believe the last few weeks or days were about keeping Rashada in the program, as well as restructuring a deal more in line with what Napier has indicated previously his approach to NIL would be........maybe it happens.....maybe it doesn't?

Regardless Florida's 3rd party NIL opportunity providers or whatever we want to call them has to be fixed in as far as structure and approach is concerned so that its in line with the university and its football program moving forward. There has been damage done in as far as moving into the 24 recruiting cycle, but nothing that can't ultimately be overcome!

So if the figure turns out to not be 13 million do the “trusted” sources become “not trusted sources”, or are they allowed to say “we just got bad information” and deflect blame… and in fairness that applies to those saying that it is definitively not 13 million.
Part of me does hope it winds up in court, as painful (to someone) as that may be. Wherever the fault (if there is determined to be any) settles, UF does not need this to happen again.

    In my head--- UF
Lots of people complaining this is the end of CF and yet, this season as a whole had exciting games.

If you think it’s dead, stop watching and stop complaining

Also after a few divas lose their cash, Tebows will still be getting boatloads of cash with Seminole field paint all over their jerseys. The money won’t dry up but the players and teams will get it to the right places to win games. You can’t win games saving yourself for the nfl.

I hope you're right and that something positive will emerge from this quagmire. This is not quite a full-blown catastrophe just yet, but it's as close to one as I hope we ever come. We absolutely have to find a way to prevent this kind of idiotic garbage from happening ever again. UF must find a way to impose some limits and structure on third party entities and their efforts to "help" the program. Taking a broader view, the future of CFB itself is in the balance and the outlook is nothing short of dire if something isn't done to reign in the madness and bumbling. What a mess.

So has it been changed or not? I feel like it’s a yes or no answer and I think people are avoiding the answer

At this point if he does come is it a good thing? I know there is a pressing need for a QB to bridge for DJ. There is the embarrassment of all the drama and more so if it falls through, but how does he engage in that locker room?
