Quarterbacks generally make more than coaches. It may be absurd but that’s the way it is. If your quarterback is out for the national championship it’s a much bigger deal than your coach having the flu

 

Like @Wanne15 mentioned…professional athletes make a lot more than the coaches/managers.

 

If Napier is terminated without cause, the UAA will be responsible for 85 percent of the total remaining annual compensation through the otherwise unexpired term, without any mitigation obligations incurred by Napier or offset rights attributed to UAA.

These aren’t professional athletes so I don’t see how that is relevant to my statements. These are student athletes

 

College football is professional sports whether you like it or not

I'm not the one paying it. All players are commodities that have value. Some more than others. Obviously at some point someone thought he was that valuable.

 

It’s unrealistic. Just look at some of the the NIL values for other players . Yes, I know that’s all speculation but there isn’t 13 mill valuations out there for anyone, not even Heisman guys etc. let alone an unproven borderline 5 star. This falling through wouldn’t be the sad part, offering that much would be IMO.
