LSU QB Walker Howard enters the portal

On walker? Why? he's already in the portal. I'd prefer to get him in for the spring, but if he doesn't chose us today doesn't mean we're out.

Nobody suggested our 2022 football team performed as well as TCU's 2022 football team. You need to shake that idea out of your head because it's completely irrelevant in this context.

Again, I'll ask.....how did we manage to get a top 10 recruiting class if our '22 W-L record is all that seems to matter? If TCU is so much more desirable, why is their class ranked 47th or whatever it is?

All of this nonsense started with you presenting your opinion as fact, continuing to state that Howard will certainly pick TCU and we have no chance. Yet you have no info, no source, no nothing other than an opinion based solely off of the AP top 25 poll.

 

It’s okay to be realistic with where we are. Doesn’t mean we can’t get back to what we once where, but for now, no… we are an irrelevant, mediocre at best football team at this moment.

Different topic altogether of course, but obviously this class hasn't even touched the field yet. Previous classes have generally outperformed TCU vs a typically much more difficult schedule.

 

They had a great season. Pieces were in place, a QB that was a great fit, got some luck at the right times. It happens, props to them. Happened for Chizik at AU, happened for Ogre at LSU. I mean, you do understand a one season snapshot isn't a complete picture, and I certainly hope you understand Napier's recruiting hasn't generally come into play. I think Dykes will do very well at TCU, better than he has done in his previous coaching jobs, it's a better fit and the conference they are in will be much easier after UT and OU exit. I also think Napier will do very well and will typically have more talented and better teams.

Funny, the same people that shreik about recruiting are now able to differentiate between recruiting and winning, as long as it can give cause to complain
