Rashada, 1/11/23 UPDATENOW being Denied

It’s the Guard, not the dirty C word as the latter deals with current players.

 

I don't believe there has been any report, anywhere that indicates the University of Florida has offered Rashada any NIL payment/compensation.

 

I do not believe the shot was at the school, it was directed at the donors/boosters.

The money for field house and staff etc. comes from donations from these donors who then get to put their names all over the program. Directing that money to NIL does't give them the same prestige and those donors don't like that.

Let me clarify - Pate made comments on his podcast. I neither confirm nor deny his comments. His podcast however, runs nationally.

Of course I have NO IDEA of the internal working of UF's NIL, so we may just be making semantic points.

My concern is Pate made some rather inflammatory comments that certainly DO NOT put UF in a good light.

 

Isn’t the Guard Hathcock? I use the term “collective” in referring to them all, that’s what they are.

I do not disagree, but your spliting hairs. UF is trying to sign Rashada...... correct? I think we can agree with that.

I am not claiming I know squat about whom does what or what was agreed to, I'm merely saying that Pates podcast does not put UF in a flattering light, quite the opposite.

What I am saying is that whatever entity, organization or structure that deposits money into recruits accounts, apparantly, according to Josh Pate, did not make the deposit in "time" as agreed to.

Now there is a national story circulating that makes UF look like a putz, at least on the surface.

I also find it very disconcerting that rumors are flying about the person / persons running the organization that compensates recruits considering UF, are being called to account for integrity and actions. Probably rumors but very unsettling to read in the posts. If true, is this not "lack of institutional control"? Of course everyone will "deny" that but somewhere down the line UF IS INVOLVED with this process, just like every other school.

 

It is possible to completely separate education from football. They are two completely different businesses and just because they were gators on their jerseys does not mean they affect the educational institution.
