You think we’re stable? We’ve been mostly irrelevant since 2009 minus a few decent good seasons. They didn’t have a “good year” they finished second in the nation.
We didn’t have just one bad year. We’re irrelevant compared to most teams we compete against. I tell you what. When BN does what Saban and Kirby did I’ll eat crow. We have been through how many coaches the last decade? The shine is not there right now. I can’t believe some on this board are thinking a kid would automatically pick us over other teams. And the nfl never cares what a teams record is when it comes to drafting players. That’s a terrible analogy. W
Here's the thing ......NOBODY said he would automatically pick UF, that would be moronic without knowing the kid and all factors involved. But YOU are the one that made the reverse statement that we had no chance, which is simply ridiculous as well
This is really gratuitous over the top hyperbole with little connection to reality. We are in the middle of a complete roster flip (with much better talent coming in) for good reason. Mullen couldn't win with his guys. There is nobody else that was going to win with those guys. Our foundation is much better than TCU's. They are lightyears behind us. Congratulations to them on beating Michigan in a shootout with many calls going their way and congratulations on their almost winning their conference against a team that got crushed by Bama. Even in our lowest moments we did not look as bad as the top teams in the Big12 at their best looked against the top teams of the SEC.
And FYI, we have 5 more wins over the last 5 seasons against a significantly harder schedule. I'd say 5 years is a somewhat decent timeframe with which to measure stability
Walker visiting Ole Miss this weekend. With TCU OC going to Clemson they may be out of the running. Ole Miss now up to the plate.
Which team played in the National Championship? Appears Dykes doesn’t need a high ranked recruiting class because he’s that good of a coach.
Great question. This year our overall team composite was top 10 and we had or will have two first round picks and we had a losing record. Dykes had a team with much less talent than us and led them to a great year.
Has a 56% career winning record. That's between 6-7 wins per year (not including post-season). Let's not pull out the lube just yet.
