The schools are just as guilty. Right to work should be there for everybody. That’s why the Supreme Court had to step in and protect players rights. You can’t have your cake and eat it too

Colleges can’t make the nfl change their rules, any more than Billy Napier can force Hugh Hatchcock to give college athletes a ton of his money.

Are we allowed to mention “Rule P” or “P”?

Maybe when we have to refer to them, going forward, we just call them Rule P :p. Like "Rule P's gotta break out the checkbook!"

Sorry for tge ones that can’t support themselves. Do a car wash or something. My kid worked all summer washing dishes for $11/hr so he could pay to play basketball at a public school. Things have to be self sufficient if they want to exist. Half of the money 50 mil, is slot more than most schools have in their athletic departments. Water polo is not a god given right.

Schools can pay their biggest money producers though. They just don’t want to. It’s their school and they can do whatever they want but don’t complain when there are problems in contracts that they want nothing to do with paying. The schools have it just where they want it. It’s a terrible system at the moment but it’s beneficial to the schools so they don’t care.

Right now, state law actually prevents them from paying their players, so, no they can’t just pay their biggest money producers.

That has to change if we don’t want this madhouse. Contract have to be signed. Changes are coming because no one likes this.

It can’t be done atm but it’s the only way to stabilize this mess. There are models all over the world in sports and college football is the absolute worst by far of any of them.

Ok. I don’t have any control over that, just explaining why you can’t do what you want done.

Heitner is our guy, i know that. But the Rashadas probably have their own guy representing them. I couldn't fathom signing a mult-million dollar deal without my own representation, so i'm guessing he has his own guy.

The models you constantly refer to are all professional leagues. College ball is not pro ball no matter how bad you want it to be, and no matter how closely you think they resemble each other. The ties to the Universities are not going away and neither are the rules that go along with them, like title IX.

I’m aware. Not much can be done now. Laws will change or many will lose interest. This Rashada drama is bad for the sport and it may not be any negativity due his way. I wouldn’t want to be screwed out of what I was promised either. I think it’s jus lawyers sticking their grubby fingers out.
