Been gutted by this… started playing guitar 30 years ago at age 10 because I saw a video of him just murdering it with jimmy page and clapton. Been a disciple ever since. Even got to drink with him once after a private show!
So tell me how this million dollar hold out QB is going to fit in with this group that seems totally sold out on being a gator.

I feel the same way. CFB hasn't just "changed", it's been twisted and perverted beyond all recognition. The truly awful part is that CFB now not only displays all of the most undesirable aspects of the NFL; self-absorbed mercenaries chasing a buck without any regard for tradition, education, team, fans or even rudimentary sportsmanship - but it does so without the structure or enforceable "rules" that have been put in place out of necessity by the NFL. It is of course obvious that CFB has long been plagued by the "untouchable" cheaters that infest the game - often with the unwitting aid of the laughably corrupt and ineffectual buffoons who "lead" the NCAA. But now, even the tiniest fig leaf of amateurism and institutional integrity has been discarded, leaving us with the putrid and unsustainable spectacle we see today. I, like millions of others am a complete nobody in this brave new world of unmitigated greed and raging narcissism. Despite all, I do still love my Gators and I will dutifully follow them come what may. But my values as an individual are of no interest to the money-grubbers or the power-mad lawyers and fat cats who have hijacked the greatest sport in the world. As a result, they are no longer of any interest to me. My only hopes are that UF continues to uphold its principles as an institution - and that the whole stinking mess will eventually collapse under its own weight and that some semblance of normalcy will finally be restored. I'm not holding my breath though.
