Yep, my student days are getting farther and farther behind us.

Can we get some type of explanation there? It’s an integral part of the recruiting nowadays and it’s hard to have legit discussions without being able to mention it. Just seems like a weird stance, unless there is some underlying personal issue, and that doesn’t seem like a good reason to suppress it across the board. Is there an alternative that we can discuss?

I support most of the rules here, and it’s certainly within the rights of the forum owners to implement whatever rules they wish. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around this one.

Yeah, it really is a bit confusing and limiting. It's kind of like saying we can't mention The Swamp at Ben Hill Griffith Stadium. It's something that's - for better or worse - woven into the fabric of the program (and college football as a whole) now.

The easy answer is because that's what the owners of Gator Country want done.

They have their reasons, which are not subject to message board discussion or debate or approval, and I'm told that Rule P should be strictly enforced.

I am not allowed to break it either.

Maybe before long things will become public that allow some to connect dots in hindsight.

 

I figured this would be the response if one was given. Thanks for at least trying.

They don't need to be clear, nor do they need to be justified. We didn't set this website and forums up so therefore I will follow the rules. I have no interest in creating my own website and talking to myself on my own private forum.

 

Agreed, and I wasn’t implying they owed me anything.

The first response implied the decision would make more sense to us down the road.
