Best part of the game for me really was seeing Patrick doing halftime. I'm not ashamed to say I had wet eyes when he came on. So proud of you Patrick!
No need sir and if u check I haven't posted in prior ones. Lightning is not Gator sports anyway. If u like hockey, that's fine. I just find it insulting to Gator players and fans when someone feels the need to say that they aren't watching the Gators but are watching some non affiliated sports team. Disagree as much as u like.
Couldn't care less. I'm here for Gator sports. Btw, the basketball thread was great for a change, only minimal whining. Wonder what was missing.
Lol, that’s pretty much every basketball coach in the last decade. Even Donovan said the same thing when we won national titles: threes, layups, and dunks. What did he know?
Dude relax. Does it 7pset you when we discuss Kentucky on a Gators board? How about LSU? Many of us are from the Tampa area now or in the past and as the annual thread shows a large group of Bolts fans exist here. Should there never be a Bucs thread here? Dolphins? Weird to be so bothered. I was switching between the two games too.
Sub 30% really blows up that strategy. I’m not a fan of the long 2, but if a guy can overall shoot 50% from 2 point land that’s obviously better than jacking 3’s at a 20% clip. I like the ball movement of Golden’s offense, and actually alot of our misses are pretty good looks or off a pass. We just need to get better knocking them down, hopefully as Golden recruits he’ll add guys with more “consistency”. Some of our misses are just wild. I always said it should take 40% to truly get the “green light” to let it fly from 3.
Relax? What r u talking about. Weird that u feel the need to post follow ups to this, especially as a mod. I explained exactly why I made the original post. Had little to do with hockey, more about trashing a Gator team. Guess u missed that part. As for "us", I live in TB most of the year these days.
My point was about the premise, not the execution. But, ftr, we are not that bad—just very inconsistent. Earlier in the season we were making a high percentage on an absurdly low volume of 3s. More recently, we have been shooting at a much worse clip on more shots. We have also been shooting much better on 2s lately than earlier in the season, when we couldn’t finish to save our lives. These things are hardly static.
So for the un-sophisticated basketball watchers (like me), what's gone right the last couple of games?
