    Hardy har har... so clever.

You seem to forget that Hillary actually tried to play clever n coy about it: "...you mean with like with a cloth or something? [cackle cackle cackle]...".

It went over like a wet fart in a crowded elevator.

Your lame attempt didn't fare much better.

Hillary was under subpoena of and destroyed all of the evidence.

Trump was under subpoena, and was negotiating (at worst, stonewalling).

The double standard is undeniable, and incredibly disgusting.

Thankfully the 20 vilified hold out freedom Caucus pubs negotiated to insist on investigating the ever loving hell out of the biden crime syndicate.

Y'all are going to love the ride!

Tell me you know nothing about the Hillary email controversy without saying you know nothing about the Hillary email controversy.

State Department policy at the time left it up to each particular employee what was personal email and what wasn't. In other words, it was her choice. The "30,000 missing emails" were never missing. It was her discretion what needed to be saved for agency purposes and no one else's just like any other employee of that department.

That's a lot different than Trump saying he sent everything back when investigators knew he hadn't. To this day there are 46 empty classified file folders that DOJ isn't sure they've retrieved the former contents.

    Nowhere close to the same.

Look, why can't you guys on the left admit what Biden did at least has a bad look??? He was no longer VP and 2 years later is when the office was done, and he moved in, but no one knew about documents then?
Did the moving folks have classified clearance to handle these documents?
None of this may amount to anything but all of you sound like The View. No interest in finding out if this is bad or not just giving the benefit of doubt to your guy. And to think a lot of you call anyone supporting Trump is in cult with a fascist leader. Pot meet Kettel!!!!

Here's a hypothetical. What would have happened had Trump, when first contacted by the National Archives, had cooperated back in March, 2021. And by April, 2021, the Archives had visited Mar-a-Lago and collected all the materials outstanding. Would the FBI have ever raided MAR? Of course not. There would be no reason to search MAR for classified materials, so not only would a warrant never be issued, it wouldn't be asked for.

Had Trump cooperated, would this be as big a story? They story might have never even seen the light of day, but if it had, it would have been easily dismissed as nothing. The Trump camp could have stated some documents were accidently moved to MAR when Trump left the White House, but with full cooperation with the Archives, all docs are now properly held and stored by April, 2021. This would be a total nothing-burger story.

But that's now what happened. Trump didn't cooperate with the Archives at first. Instead, he stonewalled them for months. Trump did eventually agree to turn over about 50% of the docs, but the Archives knew there was a lot more still missing. When the Archives asked Trump if he had turned over all the docs, Trump had his lawyers lie on an affidavit saying all docs were returned.

Later, when it was confirmed Trump still had more docs stored at MAR that belonged to the Archives, Trump stonewalled again, and didn't return them. This lead to the Archives getting the FBI involved, and ultimately lead to the warrant to raid MAR.

Trump had ample opportunity to turn over the documents and make this a non-story. While Hillary did attempt to erase all the emails off her private server, she never deleted all instances of the emails, which is why she was able to turn over all 30,000 emails to the DOJ for inspection. And Biden? As soon as these docs were discovered, they called the National Archives and immediately worked with them to return the docs as soon as possible.

It's estimated the US produces 560 million pages of classified information a year. And from prior leaks, there are cases of missing or stolen classified information every month. The DOJ has set a precedence in civilian cases that as long as there is no ill intent, no serious leaks, and full cooperation with the Feds, people face little or no consequences for having classified docs in places where they don't belong. With Trump, can anyone honestly say he fully cooperated with the Feds? If that answer is no, which it is because he lied, stonewalled, and refused to return docs, then how can you say he has been treated differently?

not the left but it is a bad look and should leave a mark. at the same time, ignoring the differences make the right look like they are less interested in reality than appearance.

That's right--not the same; HRCs case was far worse.

She cut-n-pasted *AT LEAST* 110 classified emails, AND destroyed evidence.

Trump was in active negotistions with the frakn Natl Archives officials (ie--NOT CIA, FBI, NSA...).

Equal treatment would entail shock swat stormtroopers theatrically raiding HRCs office in the dead of night without the courtesy of a heads up "bleach bit your hard drive/servers!!"

DOJ applying all its weight on election scales in direct affront to democracy, which yall thunderously applaud...then lecture the world about *DEMOCRACY* over a few hundred protestors who called BS as they smelled a big ugly rotting rat.

    Fyi:

While Biden shouldn't be completely off the hook there is absolutely no comparison between his situation and that of Trump. As soon as his attorneys discovered the documents Biden's staff notified the National Archives, returned the 10 classified documents and cooperated with the relevant authorities in contrast to Trump who lied about the documents stored at Mar-a-Lago, defied a subpoena and when the FBI obtained a search warrant claimed that he was a victim.

    Perhaps.

America has proven stupid enough to enthusiastically embrace corrupt heavy handed rule.

But that doesn't mean we ought to, or even tacitly approve of it.

Better question: what would the FBI have found in HRCs possession, had they treated her like Trump, and raided her office, rather than treating her like royalty, with kiddie gloves?

Then we might find y'alls indignity over Trump, some what less hypocritical partisan horseshit...

...and maybe even be somewhat inclined to yield the slightest beny of doubt, to china traitor ho Biden.

I don't know. Republicans just won three million more votes in the House midterm races and probably would have held the Senate if not for a few uniquely bad candidates. This was despite not seeming to have any real policy agenda.

I reiterate: the Dems set the template.

You built the gallows, tied the noose, slung the rope over head, and have been salivating, chomping at the bit for 7 years and running, seeking to string up Trump..

If it winds up being your guy getting strung up, bc you couldn't hold on to power long enough...

Enjoy the fruit of your doing.

It's your *template*, your gallows, your game.

    C'est la vie.

It started off being a bad look which is turning into a good look. I say that because it allows the comparisons of actions by the Trump team and Biden team to take place.

The Trump team decided to lie about having them, refuse to turn them over, tried to hide them, and then tried to declassify them. Shows the preadolescent way to deal with the problem.

By contrast the Biden team immediately contacted the National Archives who didn’t even know they were missing, and turned over all the documents. This shows the proper adult way to handle the same issue.

Do you actually think the Lame Stream Media will even cover anything that congress does now?

Shit, it'll be lucky to see the light of day in any newspaper or web page especially if bad things come out implicating your beloved comrades.

Depends on what exactly you're talking about.

People are tired of dysfunction, lunacy, and corruption in DC. They seem to desire stability above all else.

You have to break a few eggs to make an omelette. If Republicans operate under the rules that Democrats set for them without enforcing the same standard on Democrats themselves, Republicans will lose every time both at the ballot box and in the "getting things done" department. Why? Because they'll look like criminal loons because Democrats will have complete control over the narrative and they won't get anything done because Democrats will obstruct everything.

So, one thing you need to achieve normalcy/stability is making the other side eat their own rules. The newer brand of Republicans are definitely getting better at that part. Some like DeSantis, I'd say are plainly good at it.

Another thing you need is a cohesive party coalition and a somewhat uniform agenda for the Party. It's this part that Republicans have continued to show that they suck, both when it comes to getting elected (they run crazy candidates) and when it comes to what you do when they get elected (too many egos with vastly different priorities in one room who want to run the show for the Republicans).
