he’s saying that he never got anyone to the NFL that he recruited outta HS and developed into a NFL player
Ok, he is still a young coach. He was the primary recruiter for Boardingham and Hansen who the staff are high on. Napier thinks the guy has a future. Let it play out. I think he was hamstrung with all the injuries this year. He was left with converting Zanders from DE to TE.
All true..,though he was RB coach of the year in 2021 and never played rb either. College coaches switch position coaching all the time. Not ideal to test him out here at UF but his prior year he showed he could coach. William Peagler -- 2021 FootballScoop Running Backs Coach of the Year
UGA loading up at TE. Got these two committed (one is 2024) Pearce Spurlin, South Walton, Tight End Landen Thomas, Colquitt County, Tight End Then they’re leading for these two Duce Robinson, Pinnacle, Tight End Walker Lyons, Folsom, Tight End
That TE room was embarrassingly thin. Seem like everyone was either hurt or converted from other positions. Would Zanders, McDowell or Keeter even be on the field in Bama’s spring game?
It's kind of like those rich English premier legal soccer teams that have a hard time scoring so they spend money on more and more attacking players hoping they will start scoring goals. I don't think we need more bodies at TE. We just need better quality there.
There’s a bunch of smaller pass catching backs in the nfl but Faulk was just a hall of gamer and ran really well between the tackles.
With all the 12 personnel we run I can’t wait until we have two or three big time options at tight end. I think Zip can be a 30 catch guy but we have to throw to him and place an emphasis on the TE. Zip is very athletic and should be a match up nightmare for defenses.
