Once again we shoot like crap from 3 and around 60% from 2. 15 offensive rebounds to 8. This is starting to be a trend. Blocks 8 to 0 is a stat that really stands out. Also 24 of 32 from the line. We lived there all night.
We took more shots from 3 at 20% compared to shots from 2 at 60.9%. That is some analytics there for ya,
I know it’s been a disappointing season so far, but you really can’t enjoy a win without finding a tarnished lining? There were a number of improvements tonight that were encouraging. A morale raising win!
Just showing where we can improve. Face it. We are not a solid three point shooting team. We can get streaky but usually not. Shooting more than half of your shots from 3 at a 20% rate is not usually a winning way of doing things and yet it worked tonight. Maybe working the ball inside, then outside and back inside to a single coverage of CC might be a way to maximize our scoring chances. Added in edit: I think that LSU is a pretty bad team in spite of their record.
Jones has really turned it on as of late. Tonight he had the highest value pt score, probably for the first time this season.

I believe that TG said earlier in the season that the analytics show that you should just shoot 3’s and layups. He needs to reanalyze. I didn’t read this thread until this morning. I thought that the spelling improved dramatically over the course of the game. Good win for the Lightning. Did anyone notice that the Miami Heat shot 40-40 from the free throw line last night?
