Calling Jeff and REM and other KY fans

Jeff posted elsewhere he has been on the dump-Cal train since 2015 and there are very few empty seats left now.

 

World Wide Wes has been employed by the Knicks since 2020.

Bret Bearup was former UK player and also a guy that influenced high school players maybe in a way more palatable way to most white fans. Instead of access to rap stars he got them into overseas tournaments as high school students. And both he and WWW wanted to be their agents later on when there is a payoff. I seriously doubt that UK was paying WWW. I think that he was using UK to develop his potential pro clientele down the line. Coach Cal just benefitted from it.

IIRC Bearup might have influenced Matt Bonner to come to UF after Duke cooled on him. I don't think that Matt signed with Bret coming out of UF, though.

There is something behind the scenes in the locker room or something that we may never know. I’m just numb to it really. I was cheering for S Carolina late as they deserved to win.
We are just awful and Calipari is a big, big reason!!

Were I not a fan of Kentucky, I’d definitely be reveling in their demise. I certainly don’t blame any of you if you smiled a little after seeing the score.

We’ve seen teams underperform under Cal, in years past. This year is different though. Other years just saw players not pan out - the high-risk high-reward of how Cal built teams. You simply can’t miss on the freshmen coming in and, if you did, it’s going to go poorly. This year isn’t like that. We have known commodity’s. Something else is up, like @dailydoublecat mentioned. I don’t know what either. I think Cal can build good teams again in the future but I’m not sure he can at UK if he completely loses the fan base - which is in the process of happening.

Lurker - I went to HS and played with Bret Bearup. Was crazy to see the coaches from KY, Indiana, St John’s, …attend our games each week. Also played on a traveling all-star team with Phil Weber at that same time. Brett went to KY, Phil went to NC State, and I went to AF Academy. We all grew up in that same general area. Later when Phil was an Asst Coach for UF, I caught back up with him while I was at UF. Phil and I used to play against the UF team in practice and pickup games.

A little?? Hell, I'm smiling like a mule eating briars. I hope pUKe loses the rest, well, maybe beat the leg humpers. Then give Cal a bonus and new contract just to piss off the cats that come here.
