How many times was Bennett roughed up, sacked, or hurried this year? Exactly my point- pretty much anyone can look all world behind a line like that!

And, I'll give him credit as he excelled brilliantly. Now be off with ya and go to the NFL, or teach winking and pointing at a junior college.

I reluctantly give them credit. Very dominant performance. I'm not sure anyone will get by bammer next year. 7, 5 star kids? Nutz.

The game has changed.

It is a talent acquisition business. Need to stack elite talent on top of elite talent every single year.

 

Correct, and it will take 3 perhaps 4 years of doing this to get close to where they are.

Keep in mind, they are not going to slide backwards either.

 

Portal could actually help but we’ve gotta move much quicker.

 

Dawgs very different than all others right now. Kids play extremely hard for Kirby. He’s doing things very few have ever done or will do.

 

Great talent and got even better grabbing the best out of the portal.

With that run game, that OL, Bowers and the best receiver out of the portal, Beck will be just fine.
Throw in the best coach in the game and they will be very tough to knock off next year. Kirby is probably recruiting as we speak.

 

And the field of teams not Georgia with coaches with NFL coordinator experience says I’m right.

 

It's very obvious that our situation is a major rebuild. Fortunately, I believe we are on the correct path. People seem to discuss 'complacency' a lot on our boards. Getting hung up on whether we beat a crappy rival or not, or hung up on our record for now actually are condoning complacency. There is only one path for us, and it's going to be a multi-year journey. Georgia, Bama, (LSU and Tenn to a degree) are not going away anytime soon and we have to accept the fact there will be no shortcuts in consistently going toe to toe with these teams. We are going to endure some pain climbing back up, but it's going to be better than what we've gone through the past 13 years or so.

Not that easy. We smoked them just 2 short years ago with Bennett (new starter like Beck will be) at QB and all their 5 Stars. We just had very good talent as well. We are rebuilding the talent. 2023 isn’t the year for us. 2024 and beyond. TCU looks overrated after watching that game. We were down by 8 this year in the 3rd with this same team.

 

The last time I heard a speech like that was from a Chief Boatswain mate in 1968 when I reported to Navy boot camp.
Now honestly I had heard all those words before, but never in that quantity, nor for that long. It was impressive, but it didn’t exactly make me want to run through a brick wall, although I did feel like running… it didn’t necessarily offend me, but then again I wasn’t in a position to object anyway.

I would go on in my brief Naval career to use those same words with some proficiency, but unfortunately the Chief had a 30 year head start on me, and I was never able to duplicate his mastery of “naughty language”.

I had to give it up (minus an occasional unintentional slip) when I returned home. I may have a big strapping lad of 22, but my 90 lb. momma would have still broken out the Dial soap.

I guess the moral is it may be fine in certain settings… but it might not impress some momma’s, and even the meanest and toughest of us are all momma’s boys to a certain extent.

 

Two big ten teams in the playoff was a joke. It should have been Michigan who won the big ten TCU Georgia than LSU or Alabama.

 

Didn't watch much, saw a little of the third quarter and it made appreciate the difference in class between Spurrier and Smart.
Those who had the chance to watch back then know that in a blowout like that our starting qb, for what little time he would play in the second half, would be handing the ball off every play.
Except for that one game between the hedges, the Head Ball Coach was not a RUTS kinda guy.

 

how did he become so good since 2020? He was very average in 2020 and a big reason why we beat them soundly that year. I was quite pleased to hear he was their QB in 2021.

 

Its going to be awhile to get out of this UGA mini-dynasty....
