If CBN is trying to emulate Saban, then he may want to quickly snap up Kliff Kingsbury who was just fired and help resuscitate his career. Kliff Kingsbury fired by Arizona Cardinals after disappointing year.
He's a career college coach who got made a NFL head coach for 4 years because he looked like he could have been a groomsman at Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan's wedding. He's not a conventional NFL coach.
Why? Our offense was ranked 37th despite the lack of talent everyone is constantly complaining about, even counting our bowl game 'performance'. Offense isn't the problem here. If BN is trying to implement a cultural change he needs people in leadership positions who stay for more than 1 season.
Yes. You're right about some calling for an OC . . . but with 2 OL coaches, Florida has as many active coaches as the NCAA (LOL!) allows so someone has to go to make room for any OC. If he is hired as an "analyst" like the Gumps, we can have as many of those as we can hire. Someone like Kingsbury would probably not take a college OC job, much less an analyst. Stranger things have happened though.
Wow! Did you watch the games this season? Poor time out usage, poor go for two strategy, poor go for it on 4th down decision making, etc. Even the commentators pointed it out.
Sure did. Fix those things and we would have been top 30 total offense. Seems pretty good to me. Our issue was the defense being among the worst in the nation.
He can do better than an analyst. Without even trying. He'll do TV for a year and then get a HC at a lower P5 school.
