Both. Braun "reportedly" checked out to focus on academics and to graduate. That might mitigate a little, but I somehow think if he was playing he would have managed to stick it out.
Any competitor worth a damn learns one thing early, you don't take your ball and go home until the game/season are over. These guys quit cause they weren't playing, so no, they really didn't rep us all that well. I was a fan of both, I'm sure they are fabulous kids off the field. But you NEVER quit during the season.

Avery Helm was a starter that lost his job when Hill returned...he stuck it out and landed a great spot backhome at TCU. Props to him, that's a kid you can pull for.
Nayquan Wright hadn't contributed as much as Trent?

 

Zero. We signed a kid from there in this class, very likely we sign Kendall Jackson in the next class.

I'm not sure how you measure how he outplayed others, but from the beginning of the season Pearsall, Shorter and Henderson were always ahead of him in an offense that rarely uses more than three receivers. I can't really argue Whitmore's skills over theirs.

 

Yeah, was behind Shorter and X the year before with the previous staff.....and Pearsall was pretty clearly better

Besides Braun…Ortiz, Wilcoxson, Whittemore, Elksnis, McDowell, and Diwun all declared that they were entering the portal before the FSU game.

 

Seriously. I've never seen so much angst over losing a player that was, at best, a solid backup. There's a reason he's ending up at UCF and not any number of more prestigious programs

 

Didn't Diwun get booted? At least Elksnis and Ortiz were out w injury so unavailable regardless....although they still should wait IMO
