Better pray he comes back. Without him that WR room is 12th or 13th in SEC. Problem is our staff has not prioritize any portal receivers. Very confusing and concerning. Even if Ricky comes back gotta have 1 portal receiver.
Point well taken, but Napier is going to build by recruiting. I think he will jump on an experienced receiver if one is available but, he has 3 really good prospects coming in. And I too think it will be a blessing if Ricky comes back. We need him. Patience. And pray.
One or two of the freshmen will be in the two-deep. Even without participating this spring, Wilson could get pushed into early duty if Pearsal leaves. Mizell could start on the outside.
Kid looks explosive in high-school. Hoping he's more Harvin than Rainey in college. Not that I expect the same power from him.
That video of him high pointing the ball shows some serious explosiveness. I don't see him as Rainey at all. I just think he has a skillset for the slot that we have not had since Harvin notwithstanding how good Toney was his senior year.
To be fair to Rainey he had an explosive burst even in college he just went down too easy and gassed out on long runs. But I agree Wilson looks special. If Bama or Georgia had landed his recruitment he'd be getting more hype
We had some talent but not even close to sufficient depth and no game breakers at WR. I don’t think any DCs stayed up at night over our receivers.
I see a lot more wiggle in Wilson. He's not Toney for evading tackles in close space but very athletic. Probably doesn't have the speed of Raney or Harvin. Really looks like a football player though. There are some great upgrades in this class
No...but that 6'4", 230 lbs gave him the ability to get past that first unblocked defender that was in the backfield more often than not. That other qb probably wouldn't be too accurate while flat on his back.
