I believe the team played with a bit more intensity because of MW's return and were winless so far in the sec. IMO it was a desperation game and I believe our team wanted/needed it more. We have played good enough defense to have won those close games, it's the O or lack there of that has been costly. When balls don't go in the baskets it's hard to win. Hopefully, this win will springboard the team towards a winning streak and a few upset wins. CC was the man in the middle, blocking shots and making passes. TG needs to find quality replacements when CC leaves.
Cali. has been there 10 years with only 1 national title, while recruiting lights out year after year. I can tell you uk fans are not at all happy with him aka noise in the system.
I'll leave this call for @dailydoublecat whenever he next checks in . . . since he has been preaching this for a long, long time.
OK, I get the joke that every game is winable or losable and hence the laugh emoji but I was thinking the the odds on all those games should be close.
I have no personal animosity toward White, but man, it is sure great to see a team he coaches go into an offensive shell for 5+ minutes, and that team not be the Gators. It is hard to understand how we went from the freewheeling days of Chiozza to predictable, joyless offensive basketball.
There were quite a few but this was, maybe, the play of the game . . . at least when Florida needed it most:
I went to the gym before making my observation of the game, “We came to play our butts off and we shared the ball and looked for mostly good shots. Riley came through at the end and I was feeling good for him and the team. Good job coaches, players and crowd, a great day to be a Gator!”
