Did Sloane Blakely hurt any more than her pride when she failed her floor routine and then went to locker room before the meet was over?

I worry for Sloane. It's like she gets overamped which negatively affects her naturally excellent physical ability. Get that under control and she is a highly effective all-arounder.

On the bright side, she looks to have lost some weight and is in her best physical shape since coming to UF.

Leave it to Dr. Sam digging to get to the facts from Jenny Rowland:

Dr. Sam, PhD (@DrSam_PhD) / Twitter

    1. Savannah Schoenherr will have six weeks recovery on her broken foot. At LSU is 6 weeks out, but she probably will need a week of gymnastics reconditioning so I'm thinking she will be back at home for week 7 against Kentucky. Yes, it means she will be back and in good gymnastics shape 2 weeks before at Oklahoma.

    2. Sloane Blakely is fine, a bit sore this week. That bad landing on the last pass could have really been a problem with her feet, ankles, or knees. Fortunately, nothing serious.

Gymnews is a great site for college gymnastics - live blogs for some meets.

we watch the teams and crowd disperse, no reason to rush with the parking lot full of folks in a hurry, last night perhaps the highlight of the evening (oher than a Gator slam) was watching athletes from the other teams going to Trinity, for hugs and pictures all around, Trinity is the most gracious of peformers she stayed on the floor waving to the kids and hugging the tiniest of them until all the kids were gone then she walked off into the locker room what a class act she is

Without a national championship, I have her behind Bridget Sloan who inspired the team to 3 national championships.

Just a little tidbit. I saw something today that you seldom see. A Florida female athlete walking by herself on the sidewalk near the Heavener Center.
