There were a few posters that equated those who left as not wanting to work or not fitting the culture. It happens every time we have a coaching change.
One of those is probably correct. Surely our staff wished he bought in but they obviously didn’t for whatever reason. Yet if they don’t want to be here, move their asses on. No room for half asses no matter how good they are. Good teams buy in or kids go elsewhere. Cash or lazy or whatever. They quit on their brothers.
I think it's telling that you have a guy like McLellan that is outspoken about some guys not buying in on the program with the staff while guys like himself, dexter, james and others are. Doesn't seem like a wholesale coaching issue but a personality conflict with certain players. Agree with the don't like it then leave philosophy.
Yep, this is how it’s going to be. If you can’t get on the train, don’t inhibit the ones that are on. Randy Moss was a different player when he went to New England. I would assume that was a different type of lockeroom than he had ever been in and that those guys and coach would not put up with it.
I inferred more of a sense of "no point in crying over spilt milk, if he's gone, he's gone" - along with a dash of "if you don't want to be here don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out." But that's just me I suppose...
Little reminder when we miss on a high end recruit, it's not always the end of the world. Some good college receivers but only Jones and Harvin were guys that really lived up to their hype.
His brother should try to get a release and go there too, as MSU is going to be very different without Leach.
