Some may not like this take -

I’ll be honest, the mindset of a lot of some fans and maybe even some within the university is that it always takes time… there needs to be more of an emphasis on winning. if you are at Georgia or Alabama no matter what the sport is the expectation is winning… I don’t think Coach White would say anything about it but I can guarantee you there’s a different mindset at Georgia, Bama, and a lot of other schools. While it may take some time for a new football coach to get to where the program is competing for national championships, there should be no reason a new coach can’t win at high levels in his first year. Does it really matter what the fan base thinks and matters much more what the athletic administration thinks. Hopefully I’m wrong about our athletic administration being OK with everything taking time as plenty of coaches this year proved you can win at higher levels in your first year no matter what the circumstance. All about mindset. Even as nice as Coach White is I can guarantee you he went to Georgia this year with the thought of making an NCAA tournament and not saying I need to rebuild… Even though he would be warranted in saying that as he took over a team with not much talent. Kelly, Dykes, DeBoer, Elko, and plenty more all went into this year with high hopes and they accomplished a ton. Mindset.
