As of now this is our best recruiting class in over a decade. It’s just light in numbers. Now we wait on Ricks and Hall’s decisions tomorrow and then see who is left for the regular signing day. And of course transfers.

That average ranking is essentially a complete tier higher in recruiting. That puts us in the area between the tier of OSU, Bama, and Georgia and the tier of aTm, LSU, OU, Oregon, USC and TX have been recruiting in the past few years. Of course, it comes from boosting up the bottom of our recruiting class more than boosting the upper end, but it is nevertheless very impressive.

 

Most of what is posted is meaningless unless we factor in transfers.

So far, our 2023 transfer effort is dismal.

 

Our best WR Pearsall and an All-American OG (O'Cyrus Torrence) were in that "dismal" transfer program last year. This year's is far from over, I would expect.

 

Johnson was pretty impressive too.

 

Incomplete? Sure

Meaningless? Of course not.

Transfers are a letdown so far.

We need QUALITY transfers...not just bodies. Would think good OL would be lining up to play for our guys.

 

That's likely to change as the services look back at the all star games. Three or four guys getting a little bump would make a big difference. Adding Caden Jones will help when he commits along with anyone else that comes in on NSD. I could see the Gators finishing around eighth or ninth.

 

Our transfer ranking on 247 is currently #46, but I would expect that to go up.

If we get the OG from Baylor will go along way toward helping our OL.

 

Other teams will add players too and I think we we be heavier toward the portal for obv reasons. Unless both were combined to give a more objective look as to what we added, it’s really not a complete evaluation anyway.

Some teams are full at this point, of course that hasn’t stopped them in the past.

 

Pwo if the money is there. Most kids probably don’t care what it’s called as long as they are not paying for it. Tgat opens 20 more spots I guess.

 

Yep, look for an even lower number of total players allowed to be on teams coming soon. Right now that number is 105 unless that changed recently.
