Nope. Just looking for equal treatment. The solution is to give everyone the same preferential treatment the Cubans get. Are you in favor of that?

I quoted him saying it's a good thing Obama got rid of the policy. So his solution was revoking the privilege from Cubans, not expanding it to everyone else.

Should we expand it to everyone else?

No, I'm fine with it being revoked given the times.

I'm upset about the ideological inconsistency, not valid policy criticisms of "wet foot dry foot."

Wait, so you wanted to take away the preferential treatment for Cubans too? Then you are one of those people you are complaining about.

No, I'm not the one calling for loose or lenient immigration policy. You're really on a roll today.

You seem confused. I called the POTUS stupid, which he is along with your title dropping. I called the chairmen of the ridiculous committee that is trying to get children to change genders a biased shill, and most likely an activist.

Amazing that you softened your stance even a little, but predictable.

So you say evidence based once again and then title drop as if we are just gong to believe him when he shows his bias for all the world to see on twitter. "Hey look a guy with a snooty title said so!"

I disagree with the governor on this and I am sure many other things. But I am also going to support them when they sue their parent or parents down the road for negligence.

I applaud you for showing respect to others.

The post you quoted was only calling for equal treatment between Cubans and Haitians. I didn't see anything about him calling for a loose or lenient immigration policy.

Nope, I'm done with this routine where you say "nobody said X" or "nobody believes X" only for me to prove that this is false, and for you to move on to the next false suggestion.

Eat your crow, admit you were wrong and ditch the habit.

‘CORPORATE KINGDOM’: DeSantis-backed plan to take control of Disney's land announced

The notice was posted on the website of Osceola County, which houses part of Disney World along with Orange County. Gov. Ron DeSantis is pushing the effort, according to sources in his office, and the intended legislation will mandate that members of the board will be appointed by the governor, according to sources in the governor's office.

"The corporate kingdom has come to an end," DeSantis' communications director, Taryn Fenske, told Fox News. "Under the proposed legislation, Disney will no longer control its own government, will live under the same laws as everyone else, will be responsible for their outstanding debts, and will pay their fair share of taxes."

"Imposing a state-controlled board will also ensure that Orange County cannot use this issue as a pretext to raise taxes on Orange County residents," she added.

The planned legislation will also ensure that the company will pay upwards of $700 million dollars in unsecured debt accumulated by Disney’s special jurisdiction — known as the Reedy Creek Improvement District — and not Orange County taxpayers, according to the sources.

How big government, and Dictatorial? Gov't hostile takeover of a corporation, and Ron sets up himself ( his appointed board) as ruler. Just wow.

Nope, definitely not confused. You said he has a fancy title and then argued its meaningless because POTUS is allegedly stupid. If you're not implying that Dr. Haller is stupid, then your comparison was pointless. I would then have to assume you made it solely to take a shot at Biden, which is your prerogative, but not an effective tactic for supporting your argument against Dr. Haller.

That "biased shill" is an expert in pediatric endocrinology, such an expert that the University of Florida made him the chief of their program. As I said, a self-aware person would see him advocating for gender-affirming care and think harder about their position, rather than just dismissing him as a "biased shill."

Yes, the experts are "biased" because they aren't telling you what you want to hear.
    American Medical Association:
AMA reinforces opposition to restrictions on transgender medical care
“The AMA opposes the dangerous intrusion of government into the practice of medicine and the criminalization of health care decision-making,” said AMA Board Member Michael Suk, MD, JD, MPH, MBA. “Gender-affirming care is medically-necessary, evidence-based care that improves the physical and mental health of transgender and gender-diverse people.”

Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics:
FCAAP Rejects New Florida Department of Health Guidelines on Gender-Affirming Care for Youth | Florida Chapter - American Academy of Pediatrics
Gender-affirming care can be lifesaving. Research shows that access to evidence-based gender affirming care among adolescents significantly improves their mental health.

“Appropriate gender-affirming care, conducted in close coordination with pediatricians and parents, is safe and effective for treating patients experiencing gender dysphoria,” said FCAAP President Lisa Gwynn, DO, MBA, MSPH, FAAP. “It’s disheartening that Florida’s health agency continues to issue child-health guidance that conflicts with broad scientific consensus and without the consultation of pediatric physicians.”

    American Academy of Pediatrics:
American Academy of Pediatrics Speaks Out Against Bills Harming Transgender Youth
“The American Academy of Pediatrics has long been on the record in support of affirmative care for transgender children through our clinical policy. Today, we are going on the record to oppose public policies that would allow for the opposite. . . . The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that youth who identify as transgender have access to comprehensive, gender-affirming, and developmentally appropriate health care that is provided in a safe and inclusive clinical space."

    American Psychiatric Association:
Psychiatry.org - Frontline Physicians Oppose Legislation That Interferes in or Criminalizes Patient Care
Several state legislatures across the country have recently introduced or are deliberating bills that would restrict delivery of gender-affirming care for gender-diverse patients, specifically for children and adolescents.

Our organizations, which represent nearly 600,000 physicians and medical students, oppose any laws and regulations that discriminate against transgender and gender-diverse individuals or interfere in the confidential relationship between a patient and their physician. That confidentiality is critical to allow patients to trust physicians to properly counsel, diagnose and treat.

Our organizations are strongly opposed to any legislation or regulation that would interfere with the provision of evidence-based patient care for any patient, affirming our commitment to patient safety. We recognize health as a basic human right for every person, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. For gender-diverse individuals, including children and adolescents, this means access to gender-affirming care that is part of comprehensive primary care.

Further, we strongly oppose any effort to criminalize or penalize physicians for providing necessary care for their patients. Physicians must be able to practice medicine that is informed by their years of medical education, training, experience, and the available evidence, freely and without threat of punishment. Patients and their physicians, not policymakers, should be the ones to make decisions together about what care is best for them.

    The Endocrine Society:
    https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/478037
The Endocrine Society opposes legislative efforts that do not conform to medical evidence and clinical practice to prevent transgender and gender diverse adolescents from accessing gender-affirming medical care.

Arkansas passed a law April 6 prohibiting gender-affirming care for minors, the first law of its kind in the United States. Seventeen other states have introduced or are considering similar legislation. The proposals reflect widespread misinformation about the nature of gender-affirming medical care.

These policies criminalize physicians' efforts to provide needed medical care and disregard widely accepted medical evidence and clinical practice guidelines.

"The treatment of transgender and gender diverse youth should be governed by the best available medical evidence, not politics," said Joshua D. Safer, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.E., co-author of the Society's Clinical Practice Guideline and position statement on transgender medicine. "When caring for transgender and gender diverse youth, physicians and mental health professionals must be able to freely practice and choose the best available treatment options in consultation with the patients and their parents, as they would when treating any other condition."

Dr. Haller is an endocrinologist. Looks like his recommendations are right in line with the leading association in his field. I guess all of these people are just "biased shills."

Hahahahahaha! He put Rufo the Clown on the Board of Trustees! Yeah, it's quite clear that DeRacist hates "equity," defined as "justice according to natural law or right, specifically: freedom from bias or favoritism."

This is the funniest quote from the article:
“It is our hope that New College of Florida will become Florida’s classical college, more along the lines of a Hillsdale of the South,” said James Uthmeier, Chief of Staff for DeSantis.

Hillsdale College is a right-wing Christian school in Michigan. But at least they're being honest about what they want:
REVEALED: Hillsdale president says racism is like sexuality - neither should be discussed in classroom
