What does TCU have to do to get respect? I know some think the SEC is a step above the NFL, but win only 4 games in the SEC?

They’ve just beaten Alabama, Ohio State, and Michigan in a calendar year.

Mostly because of the number of signees. The average rating (per Rivals) for the '23 class is higher than any of Meyer's classes. If the Gators had five more signees of equal talent to the other 20, this class would be in the top five, well on the way to catching up with the UGA.

TCU did not play OSU or Alabama. I wasn’t referring to UGA.

Two seasons but not bad. This one is a bit of a lesser game though.

Steve Wallace of 49er fame (Joe Montana era) was at a party of a friend of mine. We got talking football. SW was the LT for Auburn and SF 49ers. I asked him who was the toughest guy he ever had to block. He did not name an NFL great. He immediately said Alonzo Johnson, Florida. I then told him I was a Gator and he started laughing because he didn't know.
So that's 2 guys, one Aubie OT and a Miami OL both saying that AJ was incredible. I remember him coming in at UF right behind Wilber Marshall, then thinking, is this guy better than Wilber. Unfortunately, AJ chose another path in life.

It's absurd. It would mean Florida, Vandy and Mizzou would be better than TCU.

The commonality between the SOS Era and the Smart Era is that both coaches had superior teams hen they played each other.
