2024 LSU commit 5-star Konnor McClain has posted she had a non- invasive back procedure that has worked out far better than expected: Konnor McClain back for ‘23 and ‘24 seasons! : Gymnastics (reddit.com) She will be competing Elite through Paris 24 presuming she gets that far. UF's 24 class is amazing. Both UF and OU are bringing in hauls. Still concerned about if Shilese Jones shows up in Fall 24 or goes pro. Utah picked up the #1 gymnast in 24 who happens to reside in state. What to expect out of LSU in 23? A team outside the top 5, say 6-8, maybe 10 with injuries as the tigers have less depth than usual.
Friday's lineup will be interesting. Probably not indicative of later in the season, but it will be interesting to see who competes. Any predictions?
Yes. Rotate the best is every meet and blow everybody away: Secretariat - Belmont Stakes 1973 - YouTube
OR....Secretariat was healthy and had fresh legs for the final big race UF should, and likely will, mix up the lineup all season. Keep everyone fresh, keep everyone healthy, keep everyone engaged and happy, get everyone match experience so they are ready when needed due to inevitable injuries.
Can we please not have this argument for a whole additional year? She is going build into the season again, so it’s a moot argument anyway,
That worked great for second place last year while OU ran from wire-to-wire in the NQS. No debate again. As oragator1 pointed out, it's up to Jenny. It's just she has a whole bunch of thoroughbred racehorses to satisfy too. Finis.
I was a part of that debate last year. I REALLY want Jenny to guide this team to the top. She either makes it her way or not. We are all rooting for her and the team,
I am not going to complain about any Florida team that keeps making it to the final 4. Just watch UF play football or basketball and then gymnastics looks pretty darned good.
Good article on Trinity. There is an offer to subscribe to The Athletic for $1.99 per month. Well worth it. Let 'the finale' begin: Why Florida gymnast Trinity Thomas is returning for one last shot
Little bit all over the place tonight....Trinity being Trinity of course, poor debut for Hurd, lot of nice scores and a few clunkers Easily won the meet
Team did well, still room to clean up landings here and there but all in all a good first meet, sell out crowd Trinity was one of the last to leave the floor, a number of athletes from the other teams got pictures with Trin then she put her focus on the little girls near the court, she is a terrific performer and a genuine young woman with no airs and happy to hug the youngest kids very impressive OBTW she hit a 10 on the Beam All Around
