The University Presidents eviscerate the NCAA and the amateur status of the game with vague references that the current rules are "unenforceable" and players need some avenue to "make a few bucks".

The same persons sell a B.S. story about - lets implement pay for play by this thing called NIL, this will provide "pizza money" and allow the more popular players the right to sell and collect income on "Tee-Shirts".

The same persons establish few rules to this NIL business other than vague "statements" about legalities, with a "wink and nod" that no real "enforcement" arm exists because the powers that created this mess fear litigation and by inference, nobody gets investigated for anything to "avoid" said litigation.

Of course this entire SHAM is set up in 50 different states, by over one hundred of institutions, all with different ideas and with little to no guidence or clarification on how to run the shit show.

Unregulated, this leads to 1910's style capatalism with zero rules. Well there is ONE RULE - He who has the gold, makes the rules.

SOOOO we now have a system where billionaires buy players, and coaches are hamstrung in recruiting because recruiting has become an action to the highest bidder.

And while this is going on, the fan bases are being told - You want a good team? PAY-UP through your schools "collective".

Then Bobby makes this post................so whats the real deal Bobby?, State legislators want a piece of the corruption pie now?
Dollars flowing without filling the politicians pockets first?

Alright everyone, update here: Not a bad thread pace we have going. By the end of today we should be well ahead of our daily thread goal (42 post & 2 pages needed per day) by end of day 4 '23 we should be ahead of 168 posts and 8 pages to pass last years twitter thread. lol. #Goals

 

Wait till the resident complainers whining about "what does this has to do with recruiting " start posting too. We should be way ahead of schedule when those begin. So that's nice.
