It was extremely great to see everyone come together during this personal crisis, regardless of race, opponent, fans, media and much of the nation. Funny how sports in a way can be a unifying factor. It is sad when there are those in power on both sides seek to divide and pit people against each other for their own agenda. Last night was thereafter has brought people together praying for this individual. That's a really good thing to behold!

He’s going down swinging though. Some people have never considered The First Law of Holes. Guy takes a totally indefensible position and never alters course in the face of a 100% rebuke. Fascinating

Comparing this to war is dumber than Kellen Winslow. These guys are not at war. They are playing a game for our entertainment, and a player's heart stopped and had to have CPR applied for several minutes.

You can't even tell anyone what my position is because you didn't read it. What is suggested is exactly what the NFL and Players Union did.

My position is clear. It costs nothing to wait 15-20 minutes to cancel the game. You don't get extra points for cancelling the damn thing right after he was loaded up in the ambulance, which is what was happening in here and twitter.

I never said the game should continue. I never said it should not have been cancelled. I said wait a little bit. You can let the emotions settle down, see how the guy is doing, see how the players are doing, then cancel it if circumstances dictate, which they did.

Not my fault some here, including you, can't understand the written word.

In baseball, rainouts mean your just out of luck and doubleheaders are a bonus. That’s how I would handle it.

No. I said we don't know his condition and for all we know, he was fully recovered flirting with nurses in the ER. We simply didn't know.

When the team went to the locker room, I thought they went there because they did all they could to revive him and the teams and other ON THE FIELD knew he was dead. I was praying that wasn't the case, but someone posted that he had a pulse and was assisted in breathing.

You, and a lot of others, read way too much into this whole thing.

Hey I’m over it - and I’m pretty sure you’re not as big an asshole as you sounded like in your first post. It was really easy to pile on after that one :D

It's interesting for me to hear how medical stuff is reported. When they report he has a pulse but isn't breathing most likely they mean he was intubated which is standard protocol in a "code" which is cardiac arrest and its protocol.

The only time we haven't intubated a patient is when they become conscious post CPR which is extremely rare. The only time it has happened in my experience was during a call at a movie theater where we were able to revive a man with 2 shocks while just using a bag valve mask to ventilate as we had not progressed to intubation yet. By the time he was in the ambulance and rolling he woke up which was a total surprise. The other time was a drowning victim.

Just speaking as a medic and definitely not a doctor, if they were able to get a pulse back asap I imagine he may have a fair chance at strong recovery especially with hypothermia protocol they now use post arrest. Really hope we hear some update soon because the more time passes I think the more negative the prognosis. Nothing is written in stone and this is all just educated guesses given little to no knowledge of what is actually happening of course.

Of course I read it. You wrote it and saw how idiotic a comparison it was. Then instead of retracting it, you decided to add a qualifier.

    Leave it!!
It doesn’t need rocket scientist to figure out what kind of Characterless person he is. I bet if we do survey on his comments here, it would be pretty clear what everyone thinks of him. It is almost comical how he defends his comments and calling out everyone here for not understanding him but doesn’t get it that not a single person supports him

In fairness, @Bushmaster jumped in the wrong hole and wouldn't quit digging, but he has been posting a long time and I wouldn't call him "characterless" at all.

I made Zataran’s jambalaya today. Just added smoked sausage. Thoroughly impressed a “box” meal was that good.

    Very informative, thank you.
Read a report today from several doctors who said the average CPR session is typically 3-4min, that have successful outcomes. Anything over 10min they said is not good and most don’t survive. I believe Damar Hamlin was 9min including use of the AED. I just hope & pray his ultimate outcome is a quality survival.
