Since this means so much in March, I thought I'd start a thread where we can watch and follow the NET Rankings of our Lady Gators.
Through games of December 16, 2022 . . . Florida is at 79 https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-women/d1/ncaa-womens-basketball-net-rankings Everybody can pitch-in and keep it updated for us all.
A bit low, but not sure I disagree. Our schedule has been pretty weak, and we haven't played great. If the team keeps playing like they did against Miami we could shoot up a good bit in a hurry.
Upward movement is welcome, but there's still lots of work to do. We need Leilani back ASAP. the SEC is just brutal and unforgiving.
It was, but not wholly unexpected. This season will be decided in the next 6 or so games. There are some very winnable games in that stretch. We really need to get Correa back soon.
Very important stretch coming up. If they can't go at least 6-3 in these next 9 games, they'll be headed to the WNIT.
Not back on the court, but Jordyn is back. I think Correa is our best player, but Jordyn may be more important because she can handle the 4. Didn't think we'd see her out there again so that's very promising for us to turn around the season if we can get her back out there. I'm sure it'll be a few more games before we see her much. Encouraging news at least.
Jordyn's still one of our best players, maybe our best player. Unless she's recuperating from something, I expect she'll get at least 10 minutes in the next game, and more in the next after that. I didn't see the UGA game; did she suit up for it?
The UGA game is the one she was back for, but not suited up no. Just on the sideline. She hasn't been practicing, but would love to know if that has changed. She may have just been there with it being her birthday so we don't know anything yet, but hopefully she is on the court again sooner than later.
