Check out the snap counts though. The coaches obviously preferred Barber in the bigger games when the matchups were more difficult. He is a better fit for USC who is going to throw more. Tarquin will help them. He improved a lot the last year. His weaknesses were always physicality and the run.
Really good points. Looking back, you are spot on. Gonna be missed but I really like Barber better at LT.
I think we need at least one tackle from the portal, but that doesn't mean Waites isn't going to start at RT.
Having only 127 opportunities is telling, but he is probably a better fit there. I think we need the soccer model where there is a transfer fee for development. If he is more valuable to them, we get to use that money for a prospect more important to us (area of need or needed skillset).
Maybe....Dude has the size and wingspan, but does he have quick enough feet to excel there. I think most analysts I read thought he would have to be on the interior line.
No, he has always been an OT for CBN. He has a basketball background that gave him quicker feet for a big man. He just is inexperienced because he is new to football. He had a high transfer portal rating because of his athleticism only.
As a 8th grader he was pinned as the next great thing in basketball. He has pretty good feet he was 6' 8 as an 8th grader he just added some wait but do can move he just needs soexperience https://youth1.com/basketball/1780083-the-next-big-thing---kamryn-waites
Agree w you. Those that disagree with you and I say you just plug Waites in. Not that easy and definitely not the best answer.
Where would Barber go? He’s by far the best tackle on the team. He’s your left and we need an immediate plug and play tackle from the portal. That is way easier said then done.
You sure are determined that we not up to speed in the portal....rest assured they have a lot of good options
