I see it the same way. I haven't seen anything out of Miller than indicates that he's the answer. He is no Joe Burrow.

I still have some optimism in my old body. I can see Rashada having a very productive spring and summer and pushing Mertz for #1.

Joe Burrow was no Joe Burrow until his senior year at LSU

They are both stopgaps, but Mertz and Rashada will be starting on the same page learning the offense.

So Miller is equivalent to Burrow in his junior season? I hope no one here thinks that he is.

My best guess is that Mertz and Rashada finish up spring 1 and 2. Miller leaves and the PWO competes with the other two QB's to be the #3.

Someone on here bad a signature that said 'we will never win the SEC with Chris Leak at QB. This will be easy money for me."

Wish I could remember who that was. The point is to be careful with predictions. Chris Leak probably had the beast game in the history of NC games that night.

Besides being wrong, it was a ridiculous statement to make based on the evidence.

The junior season where he threw his pick six in the Swamp, he wasn’t very impressive and not many saw his senior year coming.

The starting QB is the one who assimilates the play book and shows it on the practice field.

As of now Miller and Brown have the advantage of being in the system for a year.

How quickly Rashada and Mertz are brought up to speed is the unknown.

Even with that pick 6, they almost beat us.

For a first year starter in the SEC, he did pretty well.

What I don't understand is the delusion that somehow being a transfer from Ohio State makes you the next Joe Burrow. I saw more than a few here wistfully dreaming of a similar scenario. There's nothing I've seen since he got here or even from his limited time in Columbus that indicates that he's starting caliber. If anything, he has been even less impressive than I thought he would be.

I seriously doubt he's on our roster come fall, let alone a starter.

Rashada is as polished and poised an incoming QB as any the Gators have brought in but I can't see him gaining enough weight by September to play extensively against SEC defenses. Dude's legs look like toothpicks.

I think many posters are negative on Miller just from the bowl game and that is not really a good indication of whether he is going to be successful or not for so many reasons, I am not going to write him off just yet, hopefully amongst the 4 QB's a couple step up and become serviceable!
