It’s ok not to buy into the negativity right now

You’ll have plenty of time to watch it unfold in the next couple of years.

SMDH I thought we finally got past that slump in 2018, and now we’re right back in there

I mean, is this based on any genuine intel you have or are you just speculating as to why so many players are hitting the portal?

Tbh, if Prime starts reeling off wins in Boulder, Stricklin should waste no time and make Deion an offer he don’t refuse. Deion, with NIL cash and recruiting in Florida. Dynasty. He would probably never go for it given his FSU ties, but man, THAT would get me excited. 6-7 record, a field goal in the bowl game and mass exodus in transfer portal does not get me enthused.

I likeMike and agree with you. Sad thing is we started so well. Hard to believe how many steps backwards we’ve taken.

He wouldn't come here, due to ties and our reticence to break rules and the bank.

FWIW, the last 14 years doesn't get me enthused. We've been trending in the wrong direction for a long time. It's going to take more than one season to turn this around.

Thanks. But I do maintain that coaches who ask for more typically get a much higher rate of buy-in from the players if the system produces results. I don't think you'd see the level of turnover if Napier was getting results for the extra effort.

Is it possible that your rationale sounds good but does not compute? The two best players for the Gators FOLLOWED Napier from Louisiana and that speaks volumes! Most, not all, of those leaving were not 1st string or never really developed. They needed to leave, and I'm glad they gave Billy more opportunity to work the Portal. Napier walked into a mess and this will be a process. Sounds like a cliche, but it is what it is!

I actually had to read this twice and all I can still say is . . . WOW!

Sounds like you should become an even bigger new Colorado fan.

Why Not Mike Norville? Lots of Noles you can choose from. Has a QB done so little to be drafted in the first round?

Of course those two players followed Napier. Would you rather play for Louisiana or Florida? I’m not sure what that proves other than the grass is greener at a power conference FBS school. The pitiful performance in Las Vegas tells me all I need to know about the players who are loyal to Napier.

Well many of them have heard all year how Mullen didn’t recruit any good players(therefore they must not be good players) so it’s less of a shock that they might go somewhere else where they are appreciated.

Levis and AR in the first round is going to be fascinating to see play out. I am rooting for AR but the man couldn't hit wide open RBs in the backfield sometimes. And he is gonna go in the first round.

THIS IS STELLAR and TommyUF21 apparently gets it!!! Yes, we have been trending in the wrong direction for almost a decade and a half. Napier inherited a mess, with a defense that was abysmal, an offense that could not play consistently, and a quarterback that could not even complete 50% of his passes! Treye Dean III was the only full-time defensive starter from Mullen's 2018 recruiting class. Let that sink in, Gator Nation! Consider this: the 2018 class ranked 14th:

    Adjusted average: 2.62
    Class rank in 2018: 14th
    Four-year record: 35-16
    Attrition: 45%

So, if you look at just the sources below, and realize how few of the Mullen recruits and transfers ended up being significant starters over four years, it should disturb the Gator Faithful!!! How some want to blame four years of Mullen recruiting incompetency on year one of the Billy Napier era is beyond belief! How does Napier get blamed for coaching someone else's players? How does any reasonable fan blame Napier in year one for what Mullen did over four years?

The articles I have included below are just a small sample of what I could have included. In other words, an article by the offensive line stating how Torrence came in and improved their play was not included.

Some want to dis on Napier and what they are ignorantly angry about is Mullen's incompetency with the roster--for four years!!! I have a low tolerance for stupidity, but some of you will respond negatively to this post, and it will merely confirm that you are not informed--AT ALL!!!
