Don't hold your breath because there will not be any changes to the staff unless they leave on their own.
I don’t know but he must go to the same symposiums as most defensive coaches in high school and college football. Tackling is becoming a lost art.
If the Offense can't even move the chains - nothing else really matters, does it? And Special Teams alone can make a difference between and a win or a loss. I'll stick with my original comments, thanks.
Other than not having any kick or punt returners, I did not see any reason to criticize special teams other than the fake that we gave up. Kick and punt return coverage was generally very good. Give us a Brandon James and our ST coaches will suddenly look like geniuses.
He has really only been a position coach (WR, TE, QB). Co-OC under his dad at S Carolina for a few years. Not sure he’s a good fit for OC … if he were and he wanted it I think he would already be one.
and our defense was pretty good too...not sure what you watched this year but we were awful on special teams. 100 returns and 99 never made the 20 yard line and the one that did was called back for a block in the back and placed on the 1 yard line.
Per a source, one (and only one) assistant coach has been in talks for what could be construed as a lateral move at best, but perhaps for more money. Mostly based on recruiting acumen. That move would jive with that coach’s career so far.
