Any concerns when starters enter the portal?

Well, I expect an improvement.

 

8 wins would be improvement and is probably a realistic goal with a new QB, new OL and rebuilding defense.

 

FSU fans are giddy about the transfer portal for this year. 3 of top 10 portal kids to FSU according to them.

True for most rosters but not the good ones

 

I expect major improvement but not necessarily in the win column so much.

 

If there’s major improvements, the wins will show it. We were close in some of these games this past year.

If they were getting Jarrad Davis, you should probably be concerned.

 

Why would it be Bacon Worthy? Your just reporting facts. Btw they aren’t done with the portal.

 

They can't be done. Their last 4 classes have been 20, 23, 22, and 18, and this year's is 19. They can't survive without tons from the portal every year.

Would you want to trade their recruiting class with ours? I wouldn’t. And I’m sure a heavy majority would agree.

We invested a lot more into our HS recruiting class than they did… And Rashada wasn’t cheap. This is the strategy that FSU can afford. Long term, I like the position we’re in better.

 

Nobody on the planet would take their HS recruiting over ours.....and I suspect the portal classes will be comparable by the time we are done

 

Agree and it’s not long term sustainable but for now he’s really doing very well portal wise.

 

Agree on your first point but disagree on the second. There is no way we can be comparable with the current number 1 class. Even if they fall to 5-6 we ain’t getting there.

 

But it’s not like we lost a bunch tgat we should’ve won. I don’t see us being the favorite more often than not. I thought last year we could get to 9 maybe ten wins if AR was a heisman cand. Well, neither happened. We won’t have a candidate next year.

 

Mediocre QB play would’ve beaten UK. And a mediocre defense would’ve won probably 3 out of 4 vs Tennessee, LSU, Vandy and FSU.
