Oh my! A little controversy on this board. Doesn't happen much on Diamond Gators and Alligator Alley. We have little to bitch about for these teams usually win. When the biggest thing going on the softball thread is the new scoreboard we must be happy campers. Love it. Go Gators.
On the other hand, you would see these boards light up big time if someone like Trinity, Skylar or Wyatt decided to take a walk. Don't think it is going to happen though.
For years it was a handful of us posting on this board who all pretty much got along. It’s nice to see additional people taking interest in these sports, I guess some friction is the price for that.
Likely the best UF can do considering the setter is one of the best in the country. Muff is Flagler's best player. She will be a 1 year excellent backup setter.
Besides Muff appearing to be a very capable backup, could MW be thinking about a two-setter system? It would seem to have some advantages.
MW could switch in Muff when Stucky rotates out of the setter position, but she could have done that too with Hendrickson who was beat out for the setter starter. I'm just not feeling 3rd team All-American Stucky being off the floor any more than she has to be. I can see Muff subbing in when Stucky goes to the bench, but stats besides her huge assist total jumps out at me. Muff has lots of digs and she had a high number of service aces, think 3rd best on the team on both. At 5'11", she might play in the backcourt too. It's no secret that we had a struggling backcourt player who was being picked on by the best teams. This could help give that young player extra time to develop as well. Bottom line, I could see Muff being a two-position player. Have to love that flexibility, talent, and experience with a senior transfer. Muff may only be half of the above and she would be worth a ship. Wouldn't it be amazing if she can do both?
I can buy MW going to a two-setter system, but Stuckey is a 6 rotation player, and I do not see that changing. Muff is versatile, as she serves well, can dig, and had 168 kills. We have to remember she played against teams and players who are not SEC caliber. I am not knocking the pickup, as I think she can be a team piece that can contribute. Welcome, Kennedy.
Here is an article about Beason and the Transfer Portal. Merritt Beason's 'crazy' 9-day stint in the portal ends in Nebraska commitment
Odd that she considered Auburn, guess hometown option is all that makes sense. Hope she likes those Nebr winters.

Question for you VB people in the know. Carly Hendrickson was a highly rated recruit. She was Ohio VB player of the year, an All-American and I'm not sure if she even got on the floor this year. Does anyone know what if anything is going on with her?
