We’ll, they DID come to Florida with the chance for early playing time.

It’s not that hard to figure out. Someone is offering them more money to play elsewhere. Welcome to college football 2023.

There will be capable transfers but they will be expensive. Why waste the money if we aren’t prepared to make a legit run. Get young guys and develop a line. Plug a hole or two when the team is ready to make some noise.

This is the most reasonable and hopeful explanation as to what’s happening.

This article sheds some light on why guys who played a good bit this year, including starters, are leaving.

I mean, we have a finite amount no matter how much it is. If Rashada is a heisman hopeful in 24 and we need that left tackle and an elite pass rusher, I want those players then and not spent on making sure we beat Vandy next year.

Tough to develop folks if they leave after a year or two to chase an NIL deal.

    Surprise, surprise.

Throughout my work career, if I had a chance to make more money elsewhere, I usually went elsewhere.

Billy Napier is a no nonsense coach, and just what we needed to clean up the hideous mess left by Genius Dan Mullen.

Don't want to buy in with Billy? He will show you the door. The pain is weakness leaving the program, for good.

Why do we default that they left for NIL money? Could be; however, I have seen no evidence of that and the QB of UNC spent a lot of time refuting that same narrative narrative.

Yes the OL starters leaving did puzzle me but all the others are part of the process. When you fire your coach and then still go 6-7 how many talented players did we really have?

2023 record will not be bad. 8-4ish, I predict. 2022 was our Waterloo, just as Pell's first year in '79. We got right in '80 and blasted that crap school Maryland in Tangerine Bowl to avenge the '75 loss to those a--h---s.

We are on the right track. We are going to be great under Napier. Title relevant in 2024. The sky is NOT falling. The glorious North Florida sun is shining on a great future, brighter than anything we have seen.

But no one offers you unreasonably large money as it’s a business model that has to function.

I wonder which qb on our roster is an 8-4 qb in a few months.

I lived through 5-7 this year. Went to Utah, LSU, and FSU games and kinda enjoyed them for the most part. I may not go to any next year if we can’t put an offense on the field. We have rb’s and not much else.AR was very underdeveloped or maybe just not a great qb but it’ll probably be worse next year and almost surely the line is going to struggle. Last year we beat Utah, A&M , and the Cocks. Three real wins and rest all losses. I’ll tune in on tv but I may stay out until we get a bit better. It’s too expensive to pay to be pissed off and disappointed.

Lol, I finally ran into your post. Good find. And I think that what CC mentioned in that link is certainly a major part of it, I have a feeling the money offers from other schools might have something to do with it too.

But Uf had 2 Oline coaches? These transfers have to realize they are not going to get as much individual attention/training at a school with only one. Unless it is all about a POSSIBLE 'its a money thing' as others
    have mentioned.

So in essence you are saying there isn't a compelling reason for the team to waste money to try to win in 2023, so you aren't going to waste money going to see the potentially sorry product that is out on the field.

If a lot of fans feel that way, and act accordingly it will be a negative factor evaluating BN's performance going into 2024, and he will be squarely on the hot seat.
