Jags get rid of that headcase Meyer and suddenly they're a playoff contender. I'm sure the Urban apologists will have a good explanation for this.
Pederson seems to be popular with the players. I'm glad he is in Jax. I'll give Urbs a little credit. Etienne, Campbell, and Cisco are all starters so he didn't draft as poorly as I thought. I don't give him credit for Lawrence as anyone would have made that pick.
Could care less. He was the head coach for two of the three national championships won by the Gators. It was much more fun following the Gators when he was the head coach as compared to the current regime.
He was also handed a championship level roster. The current regime is trying to clean up 10 years of mismanagement. So, it’s a pretty poor comparison.
Meyer inherited a 1-15 team, and not really sure Lawrence fit into his system anyway (provided he was ever even going to run his spread option in the NFL). Felt like he was fired as much for personality and the off field embarrassment as much as anything considering he didn’t even make 1 season. Meyer may be an ass of a person, and not good for the NFL, but he’s a damn good college coach, anyone saying otherwise is a fool. Hell I still think if Cam didn’t toss that laptop he wouldn’t have flamed out at UF at the end. Or at least we would have had some more legitimate battles with Bama. Would have changed the timing of who was taking over at QB. Dude doesn’t handle losing, so I think when he saw what he had with Brantley he checked out mentally.
It looked like the same pile of shit as the year before to me. A bunch of whiners and Self see ring entitled men not willing to get their hands dirty.
