I don’t disagree with that. I asked this question since Mertz announced: Is he the best portal QB they could bring in or is he the best portal QB they wanted to bring in?? Big difference. How the remainder of what the portal machine shakes out for UF will determine much of 23, imho. Perception matters, they still need to improve from 6-7.

 

Yea i'm only giving USCe the edge because that game is on the road. Recently we've been neck and neck with them and that game is a swing game imo, as is the Arkansas game. They can look like world beaters one week and complete trash the next (sounds like us lol)

 

Yea i'm bout done on Zip too and would love Boardingham to snatch some snaps from him. I think Odom is JAG (just a guy) and won't be too hard to pass up on the depth chart/

 

Yeah, very tough at home. What Beamer is doing there in such a short time is pretty impressive.

 

cosign that but on the fipside, USCe and Missouri (for whatever reason) have started to puff their chest out waaaay more than I'd like and I can't wait (and I hope this will happen) until we start curb stomping them on a yearly basis again. Beamer selling water to an eskimo up there though because they've been solid in the portal and with HS recruiting.

 

Yet we stomped them this year and we sucked. They aren’t all that.

 

The only Gator QB that can be compared Is Driskell and he was a project. He came from a new high school and was not developed as a QB.

 

Utah is an entirely different team next year, no? Is it considered an automatic L? Might be a surprise

 

it being on the road along with it being early is why I would call the Utah game an L…as of now.
