we’ve had a few incels in here over the years. I don’t mind it because it’s a weird perspective quite a few men share and it’s not trolling, IMO. Just hopelessly lost.

OP is a boring average guy and depressed because top tier women aren't giving him attention.

Color me surprised women don't find that attractive.

As far as living a life of leisure, I thought leisure for most men was building things, hunting, fishing and working with your hands. Since you seem to rule these out what is leisure to you, child activities?

A woman who is at least somewhat cute (again they don't need to be some model or drop dead gorgeous, I'm not expecting that and know most of those women are probably out of my league), kind, down to earth and someone that would have at least a few activities in common with me.

I don't really care about what race/ethnicity they are. I don't find myself attracted to most black women but some who are on the hotter scale I would definitely be interested in. My preference in general would probably be white or Asian. Religion doesn't really matter as long as they believe in God or a higher power. Only religions I would rule out would be Muslims (just too much incompatibility) Jewish (I just don't think it would work and would cause family issues on both sides) and the more radical Christian religions (LDS, Jehovah's Witness, etc.). But most Christian religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism or even Agnostic would be fine. For politics they don't need to be Conservative (heck I'm more Libertarian myself, liberal on social issues, conservative on taxes and fiscal issues) but if not Conservative at least Moderate or Apolitical. It would be hard for me to date someone who was Liberal and impossible for me to date someone who is a militant Leftist.

It would need to be a woman who still wants to live life to the fullest and isn't someone who just sees me as an ability to have children or to provide money. A woman who still wants to have fun. That's why I find myself attracted more to women younger than me. I would also hope I could find a woman who does enjoy activities like sports and the outdoors but still has a feminine side and doesn't feel the need to compete on everything. Does that give you a better idea to my standards?

I don't actually deny this. I love strip clubs and go regularly though I know it's a fantasy. I understand the women being nice is an act. I guess I like strip clubs because it's the one place where the power dynamic switches. Where men are the ones in control and women are the ones who have to initiate contact and impress me. But I also understand those women wouldn't talk to me the minute they are outside of the club. I get it's a vicious cycle and I've probably spent way too much there this year (probably around $2,000-$3,000 in 2022).

I think it fits. I mean you can trash Trump all you want but prior to being President he could've easily dumped Melania for a younger trophy wife woman at any time and he wouldn't have had trouble. Yes the younger woman would just be using Trump for money and would probably divorce after a couple of years but at least Trump has stayed with Melania.

Trump's case is unique as the money and fame factors far outweigh looks. If Trump didn't have his money and fame though he would've been screwed.

Honestly I think it fits. I've always thought Melania was overrated and that she doesn't do much for me. It's her face for me, it's just weird. Sure she was hot back in the late 80s and early to mid 90s when she was modeling but I wouldn't say she's exceptional now. I would say both have benefitted from the other.

I'm sure there are many woman that fit this bill. There's a woman at work that has been flirting with me for the past 6 months. She fits this bill perfectly except she is married. But then again, so am I. So you need know where you'll find them. If I we were not married, we would definitely be dating now. Does your church have any singles activities? Seems like a good starting place for meeting people.

It seems to me that there’s always lots of people looking for a kind, loving and reliable partner. Especially when you look at how many end up with partners who are not.

There’s a place that might be able to help you. It’s called church.
Get involved and don’t miss it each week.
Don’t go looking for it and it will happen, eventually.

I like adult classes. Groups of less than 15 all interested in learning something. Full of single women. You have an interest in common and you get together once a week.

I haven't really been involved in any type of church for awhile now. Pretty much a lapsed Catholic, never really forgave the Catholic Church for the sex abuse scandal. I honestly haven't been a regular attending Catholic since high school and that was simply me being forced to attend, lol. It's not a bad idea but aren't their groups more for like the 21-35 age group. Wouldn't I be too old? Plus I don't know about the idea of dating someone super religious. I feel like I need someone who is religious lite who believes in God but isn't going to be militant about attending church each week, lol.

Singles come in all ages at church. And people going to church aren’t just for the super religious. Doesn’t cost anything to try it out for a while.

Well your interests would be what you are after. I usually take creative writing courses because I am convinced I am destined to be a great writer. Unfortunately you actually need to write to be a writer. I just talk a good game. Where are you? There has to be an art center near you that offer adult classes. I would think painting and pottery would be prime.

I would avoid community colleges. To many kids in those. Also, avoid courses like auto mechanics and wood working. They might be your interests but doubt there will be many women in those.

Honest truth, one of the biggest problems in this world is people live their lives thinking only if I could fix those people over there then everything would be right in the world. That is not to say that there aren't other people in the world who do have problems. And that is not say there isn't a time and a place to address those things when windows of opportunity arise to do so. However, many people spend their lives worrying about other people they cannot change, and they never address the evil dwelling within themselves. There are few people who look in the mirror and come to understand that their biggest problem is staring right back at them in the face.

Jesus declared Himself to be the Great Physician. He came to heal the sick. He came to make people whole who have serious spiritual problems. You should go to church, and you shouldn't be there for any romantic reasons. You should go as a spiritual patient of the Great Physician. And don't go back to a Catholic Church. I can help you find a solid church if you ever decide you want help with that.

Sorry, I'm finally getting around to responding to your long (but very good) post! There have been many instances where I could've been on the verge of doing something rash but I also have enough of a head to know it won't make a difference. I think this country is going down a very dark path and I hope to see the states split up eventually in an amicable divorce type situation so that states have more country over their laws, customs and cultures. The U.S. is too big to be ruled by some big federal government. Sadly I don't think a split up will happen without blood shed, all becomes the corrupt Washington D.C. elite can't imagine giving up even a little bit of power. I'm proud of the states I have called home. I can't say I'm proud of the U.S. as a whole though.

I agree and disagree. I think there is manipulation in society, especially by the media. We are essentially told what we should be outraged about and what we shouldn't be. And this happens on both sides. I've seen people like my cousin, who is a Liberal, spout of CNN talking points almost word for word with no original thought into it. I've also seen my mom, who is a Conservative, listen to nothing but Fox News and spout off Conservative talking points. I find myself just being tired of it all. The whole system seems very corrupt. I know for the upcoming 2024 election if it's some RINO (Romney, Pence, Rick Scott, Rubio, Abbott or Cruz) I'll stay home. I'll only go to the polls if it's Trump, DeSantis or maybe Youngkin or Rand Paul.

I think there are some things that are organic that can't be controlled (Trump winning, your pet rock example) but I still think there's too much control and influence in our lives.

I agree, in general I know this is where the Incel, MRA, MGTOW philosophy falls apart. Men would never truly unite on anything and the people in power and especially women know this. Like you said it's more your local area and socioeconomic classes that would unite. And I don't disagree. I used to think I had more in common with a white person than a person of any other race no matter what. Now I understand that, while we may look different, living in the south I have more in common with a working class Hispanic than I do some white person living in Manhattan or in Nantucket. Heck the last election shows that there is a huge split in the white race. White men still overwhelmingly vote Conservative but white women (outside of working class women or women from rural areas) have overwhelmingly switched over to the Liberal side.

I've lived this way because I thought this country hated everything about me. Heck look at the media, TV and even commercials. White men are all but banned from commercials and if there is a white man they are either evil or a Homer Simpson bumbling idiot type character while the lady (whether white or another race/ethnicity) is always some perfect Mary Sue type. I see anything that is white male as being under attack while ignoring that there are gyms that are women only. Where's the discrimination outrage there?

As a white man, especially a white moderate/conservative man, all the media ever tells us is that white men are the root of all problems and that the world would be better without us. That we're evil, racists, misogynists, deadbeats and killers. Just by supporting Trump (who while I don't agree with a lot of things he's done do agree with some of his policies and that' why I voted for him) many on this form and in the media flat out say I'm a Nazi. Heck a woman who has a record would never even think about where they have to sit on an airplane. I know as a man I can't sit next to a child on an airplane because people will assume I'm going to do something horrible. In the very least the mother would ask me not to sit there even though I have every right to sit there.

Heck look at careers. If a woman goes into a STEM field and takes a job in that field from a man it's considered a win for women's right. I don't have a problem with that. But if a man goes into nursing and takes a job in that field away from a woman it's considered an attack by the patriarchy.

We have schools who's teaching style completely favor girls. Instead of giving both boys and girls a chance to have a good education we flat out favor girls and put the boys on medicines because they have ADHD (maybe because boys and girls learn differently, but of course that's never considered). And I know this, if boys were outpacing girls at every level of education it would be considered a national emergency by a bunch of groups and our federal government. But because girls are outpacing boys at every level, eh who cares.

I don't like to be bitter but you can't say none of what I said doesn't have merit and yet none of it is ever addressed. Men in this society are not respected and are being left behind intentionally IMO.

I agree with you there. I've become bitter and defeated and all it's caused me to do is to isolate myself and become lonely. My mind tells me it's too late to change and that's I'm just doomed. My mind tells me society wants me to disappear. My mind tells me women would love it if people like me just went away. I know I probably need therapy to get out of this cycle.

I'm tired of trying to fight a fight that for one thing isn't even worth fighting, and two, even if it was worth fighting, will never be won. I'll admit I bought the Incel/MGTOW mindset hook line and sinker many years ago. Heck for awhile if I had been more involved I could've potentially been considered an Incel/MGTOW type leader I had bought into it so much. I truly believed that you all had blinders on and that I knew the "truth", that I saw beyond the veil that covers most men, that I had truly taken the red pill. During the pandemic I almost considered starting my own Incel/MGTOW YouTube channel in an attempt to monetize it and not go back to a traditional job (I was furloughed and then laid off during the pandemic).

But what has it gotten me. Yes I have family and friends but otherwise I don't have a huge friend group. It's made me have to have a dual personality, the one I show to the world and the one I show online. It got me to the point that during the #MeToo stuff I almost bought a body camera to wear at all times to prevent against a woman saying something to get me in legal trouble or fired from my job. During the pandemic I listed to podcasts like My MGTOW Life, Better Bachelor and Sandman. For awhile I adopted the Pence rule because I genuinely believed all women were out to just screw over men. I almost had MGTOW tattooed on me at one point.

Incel/MGTOW truly caused me to believe that the gender war had become and women were the ones who had declared war and fired the first shots. I truly believed men were too asleep to realize that we were losing and we were going to completely lose if we didn't start to fight back. That's how brainwashed I was.

But I'm tired of fighting. I'm tired of being alone. All those Incel/MGTOW people, I've never met one in real life and I know I never would. I know it's wrong to try to blame the entire female population. If I'm being honestly I'm pretty much single because for a very long time I was afraid of commitment (I still am at times). I never figured any woman could ever handle my arrogant asshole of a father. I bought a condo with my parents that they use about a month out of the year and it's nice having my own place. Part of me wouldn't want to give that up. My mom is largely alone due to my arrogant asshole father and I don't want her to feel like I'm replacing her with another woman. In hindsight I've probably never given women that much of a chance. But I know if I don't make changes I will end up old, alone and bitter and I don't want that. But I'm not sure I know how to change.

That's funny in a way though true. Funny because my mom admitted my sister and I were almost not born as she almost didn't marry my dad. She literally cried the night before her wedding. But she always says having my sister and I made it all worth it. And I know what you are saying is right. The hardest part (but probably the most important part) would be to try to essentially deprogram myself from all the Incel/MGTOW/MRA/Red Pill stuff, if that's possible.

The power dynamic doesn't switch, the social dynamic does. These women take home a couple thousand dollars on a good night from men who largely really couldn't afford what they spent. Who was in control again?
