I've given up. We had a lot of NBA talent on White's teams. He wasted all of it with his poor coaching.

If we had retained Appleby and Keyontae on this year's team, we certainly would be top 25.

Somehow, Bama, UT, Auburn and Arkansas have managed to recruit and coach them up.

The product is trending downward.

Glad I passed on a trip to Charlotte.

 

Keyontae was never playing here again, and we all lived with the extreme ups and downs of Appleby's play. I'll respectfully disagree.

Would you rather the Gators play their best now or during the conference season? There's talent. There's definitely disconnect between coaches and that talent. That disconnect disappears on good to great teams after time. Gator basketball wasn't going to be pretty right away fitting a new coach and almost entirely new roster of contributors together.


I'm banking on them hitting stride in the conference grinder.

This doesn’t smell of entitlement. We have been fortunate to have those titles. Many fan bases would love to have experienced that. Doesn’t mean UF fans deserve it all the time.

 

I really don't understand the mid-major label for coaches that I read sometimes. Any shortage mid-major teams have quite often isn't coaching but more related to player compensation and facilities. BD was a mid-major coach had to move before getting recognized. And there are plenty that are good enough or better than most power 5 coaches today.

 

I think you can add to it some high school coaches, lower division college coaches, women’s college coaches and female coaches.

 

Both these teams play incredibly weak non conference schedules- If we played their schedule we'd be between 12-0 and 10-2.

 

Mizzou played Kansas, UCF, Wichita State and Illinois. They went 3-1 against those teams. LSU played Kansas State, Wofford, Wake Forest and Winthrop. They went 3-1 also.

 

I stand corrected.

 

Gator fans are about to realize that NCAA berths and 10 win seasons in football are not bad outcomes.

No way. We haven't beaten a single good team, or really even been competitive with one yet, and the SEC is loaded with good teams this year.

 

Thank you. We are 7-5 against a good but not great schedule. If we had played Bamas schedule we would be 4-8.
