Think Waites moves to OT....would have Farmer/Kerarney at the other guard spot for now. But I would anticipate 2 starting OL from the portal.
Waites is definitely OT size in my book. Lower pads often win so being 6'8" is not ideal on the interior OL. Also doesn't help your qb much either, lol. I was surprised to see them move him to OG for the bowl game.
Seems like a long shot, but maybe with our recent defections someone will see an opportunity. The portal has been a disaster for UF so far this year, getting 2 starting OL would certainly change that trend.

he played OT all season (in his brief appearances) until the bowl game - specifically RT as well as at Louisiana so I’d assume that is his figure and where he is more likely prepared to play. He only played guard for the bowl with Torrance going pro and Leonard out hurt.
I wouldn't place too much on the bowl performance. I'm not about to rewatch the bowl game, but indecision and inexperience about assignment could also be misconstrued as slow. Lets face it, the entire line played terrible. Wherever he plays, I think his ideal playing weight is likely in the 330-340 range. You don't see many OL over that in the NFL for a reason.
Don’t know how you can judge that APK. The tape shows guys running around him frequently on passing downs. Did okay on running plays. Either too slow to react if on pass downs or too inexperienced, but won’t know until next year if he starts at OT
It's certainly an educated guess, but a split second hestitation is all it takes...and he just looked unsure of assignments and IMO that was he far greater issue than physical ability.
