Not an easy topic to discuss for sure Zep. But some of the stuff I read here is really embarrassing. My big problem with our fans is that some are so entitled they are already proclaiming Napier won’t get the time he needs to build this team his way. Because Saban did this or Spurrier did that or Brian Kelly this or Lincoln Riley that…..

We hired Billy Napier not those guys. If he’s really in over his head after his 3rd season then there’s legit cause for concern. But changing coaches again should be our last resort, not something to already be talking about after season 1. Same goes for the buttheads bitching about a recruiting class that’ll have 21 players averaging 9.3 all enrolling at UF in January.

I’m sick of the bitching. It seems far more fashionable to be negative than to stand behind our team and recognize and respect the monumental task our coaching staff has taken on to rebuild our program.

And much of this difference is because UF has been wickedly punished for breaking rules while Bama NEVER has. You don’t think that leads to a profound difference in approaches to recruiting? And still, on 2 occasions our “hokey pokey”has risen to the top in spite of it.

 

And proud of it!

 

GC is the tamest place of all. It doesn’t get too out of hand . There are more level heads here than ones screaming for their Oompa Loompas. Facebook gator groups if you can call them that are disgusting in what they allow, I’d kick half of them immediately. Twatter is just as bad and they aren’t private groups there so nothing can be done. It’s nice that at least here if your idiot meter exceeds 90% the mods shut you down.

Yeah buddy and that’s really disappointing too, although not surprising. The other thing that pisses me off is these assholes feel it’s more important to spout their unreasonable negativity than to consider that recruits, players, and their families read these boards. There’s no denying that they’re hurting our team with this

Nape was very clear and transparent about the rebuild and the steps needed, since the very beginning. He hasn’t made a move yet that he wasn’t up front about. I would actually be more concerned if he deviated away from the plan just to make a splash move and quiet the fan base.

I think we went all in during Urbs if you believe that interview wit Leon Orr I think it was. The rumors of shutting out boosters down are probably true and it’s also probably true that we would be punished differently. It’s all in the open now though. Players and classes can be stright bought but you still need the top to bottom organization to run it and win. I like how we are doing it for the most part but we will have to pay up to get over the top. Interest will wane if we and other teams are permanently relegated to second tier which we clearly are right now.

 

All teams have stupid fans, we aren’t special.

Something going on in Hogtown. Trust in Napes I do but the surface is looking rough. I expected more of this after spring ball in his first year not really the mass exodus we are seeing now. Maybe the state of the art facilities and top 5 education don’t carry much weight. Would love to hear the exit interviews. Lol
