And yet, you posted tons of magazine covers of different diseases. That's strange that they didn't cause spikes like this in excess deaths then. You can't argue that it is both usual and entirely unique at the same time.
True, and notwithstanding the efforts of media, we never panicked then as now. Remember the Swine Flu pandemic of 2009 ? I don’t. I literally don’t remember a thing about it. But I read that the CDC pulled testing that July, presumably because they knew that mass testing would drive Americans mad. For whatever reason, we decided to reverse course in 2020 which became a panic-induced PCR-based pseudo-epidemic with massive reclassification of deaths. Note: I do distinctly remember the “AIDS crisis” circa 1990. Fauci warned that it would burn through the general population. C. Everett Koop warned that if a vaccine were not found 100,000,000 would die by 2000. And a weekly publication darkly intoned “If an effective treatment is not found we may be facing the eradication of the human race.” Yet, life went on ...
I do. Quote a few school closures. And yet, not the excess deaths. So we closed schools but didn't panic? So your explanation is that they pulled mass testing months after the spike in cases? And that prevented panic? Which your theories continue to be unable to explain. Well, except for the 40 million or so people killed.
In 2009 the CDC distributed one-million testing kits WORLDWIDE and stopped testing in July. In 2020, during peak hysteria, Americans were testing at two-million PER DAY. Not even 1918 saw the level of terror the world experienced in 2020.
So we had amazing amounts of terror in April, stopped being nearly as terrified through the summer and early fall, then became more terrified again in the later fall?
That’s a gross simplification of my painstaking qualifier of *effects* of panic. In 2020 nearly a quarter-million Americans died at home than in 2019. Granting virus for the moment, at last check, even the CDC allowed that only a small fraction of those died from Covid. People likely died, of treatable ailments, for fear of catching Andromeda Strain in hospitals.
Ahh, so they died, stopped dying from "treatable ailments" (leaving aside that many of these are either bacterial or viral) then started dying again, then stopped dying again?
Remember that I don’t believe a soul died from a virus. My only concern is excess deaths. And I’ve already tendered a number of explanations for them.
Not one that fits the data. First, it was vaccines killing people...before they were released. Then, it was panic, which apparently ebbed and flowed for no apparent reason. Then it was dying at home, which also apparently ebbed and flowed for no apparent reason. None of which involved viruses, of course.
So you’re arguing that “ebb and flow” equates to curves that look like a virus ? So nothing can ebb and flow except for a virus ?
You haven't offered a single explanation for how panic lowered in summer 2020 and then grew worse in late fall 2020.
Panic didn’t lower in the summer. And deaths were well above the usual “summer trough” for deaths. And nearly three years in and panic, among ordinary Americans, is just now beginning to abate. That said, excess deaths remain staggeringly high for some reason.
So what is the explanation for the "usual summer trough?" Deaths due to violence increase in the summers. So why do deaths as a whole decrease?
It's super easy to refute everything he says, but why bother? He's not living in the same reality that the rest of us are. No real fact you present to him will matter to him. You're not going to suddenly convince him that viruses are real and people die from them. So why bother? We just end up with page after page of nonsense.
There was always, until April 2020, a winter burden of deaths followed by a contraction. The fact that 2020ff is so (a)historical should, in my view, raise eyebrows ... https://ia803202.us.archive.org/27/...overnment response Denis G. Rancourt, PhD.pdf
No virus need be adduced for greater frequency of respiratory illness and heart disease deaths. Cold the common denominator. Read the paper I posted.
May be one of several explanations. But incidence does correlate with cold as does fatal heart episodes. Are heart attacks caused by viruses ? Winter can be hard on human beings.
