I just hope the guy can start bringing in some blue shoppers. This program is really down right now. There are several seniors (who have no eligibility next year), but of the remaining players with eligibility only Kugel, Fudge, Reeves, and Aberdeen should be offered scholarships next year. Golden should completely clean house release the others from scholarship ala Napier and Sanders and STOP rolling the dice on transfers- IT IS NOT WORKING!!!
Richard & Bonham both have double figure scoring averages. With Castleton & others gone, Florida will likely need more front-court help after this season is finished.
We have 10 players coming back next year as of right now. If Golden were to revoke the scholarships of a bunch of them, I would support firing him. So, let’s be realistic. Find an offense that works. Work on improving our returning players and bring in 3 good players.

W Why bring in transfer players if you are not going to win with them? It defeats the purpose. This school has not had much fortune bringing in transfers. Castleton, Hudson, Egbunu, and Leon are the only ones who made any kind of serious impression in the SEC after they transferred. And we have had probably 20 in the past 6-7 years.
What have they done against Oklahoma, UConn, West Virginia, and Oregon State? Richard had zero points against UCONN in 25 minutes. ZERO!!!!! He shot 50% against WVU in our blowout loss and ended up with 8 points in 26 minutes. He shot 3-11 in THIRTY MINUTES against Oklahoma including 0-5 from 3. Averaging double digits means nothing when the numbers are skewed when we play powder puff schools. Bonham had 4 points in 21 minutes and shot 0-7 from the floor (all points from the free throw line) against UConn In 22 minutes against WVU he shot 0-9. He did score 14 against Oklahoma but was 1-6 from 3. I would rather lose with freshmen who can learn and figure it out and develop than to plug in people who did not even have Florida as their first choice, and then come here and not make a significant impact on our program. Fudge is making a SIGNIFICANT impact on our program. Golden has only realized his value 5-6 games into the season. Fudge is basically a freshman who is getting significant playing time for the first time in his career. Aberdeen can't do worse than 0-7 or 0-9. It is impossible. And at 6'4" or 6'5" he is not as much of a liability on defense.

Yep. It sounds plausible, but like you said, there's no way to know for sure. I believe the last couple of years the teams have had the offense changed or simplified in December. Maybe knowing the offense is the carrot to play. Imagine that.
I've also noticed that the scoring drops quite a bit when they play teams that required a big defensive effort to stay in the ball game. I'm not saying they are tired, but it could be a muscle memory thing that's falling short.
