True, but to the OP's point it was probably the last time Florida stacked two major QBs back to back. To your tangential point, it remains to be seen if Rashada or Lagway also have any influence on Florida football.
There was a rumor that a top qb was flipping today. Speculation said it was either the kid who flipped to oregon, or rashada. Once the other kid flipped, our chicken little’s took a deep breath as it no longer appeared to be our guy everyone was talking about. Some of them continued to freak out for another couple hours though.

I’m just repeating what he said, or at least what I heard (my wife does say I have selective hearing). I’ve admitted I found it confusing. Watch it online it’s still available.
Why? He did pay his own way to come for his visit. With NIL, we probably don’t need to tie up as scholly here.
I went back and watched that segment. Whoever the reporter was mentioned that ideally you would have 4 or 5 QB’s on the roster and then said “I believe this (Rashada) gives you 3. Napier answer was that they expected to add another in the transfer portal, and that they intended to add a PWO, that they all would be here for spring… giving them 5 (QB’s) to work with. Then he added the expected to sign one more, (which I took to be the scholarship player) I suppose a PWO isn’t required to sign. Obviously he couldn’t name names at that point, or say who was the transfer portal scholarship player, and who was the PWO. Mertz seems obviously one of the two, (and listening the second time, the one that most likely receives the scholarship) that begs the question… who is the other one ?
Not sure if it was posted already but we did sign a PWO today….WR Brian Green from Orange Park High School who is teammates with OL signee Roderick Kearney.
That leaves out Brown, who may indeed transfer , but Napier distinctly said they intend to add a PWO. Since Engel is already there, I don’t see how it could be him. Who knows but to me it’s Miller, Mertz, Rashada, Brown/ Engel, and another portal or more likely high school PWO. Looking at other sites Mertz does appear to be coming on scholarship I wish Napier could have been more clear. (I understand why he couldn’t) At my age I get confused enough all by myself, I don’t need more help.
