If who got flagged by admin? Assuming McCall? Thought he had Admin issues at Aub. And I guess it’s carrying over to UF, as well?

I’d rather have Fred and Ethel Mertz. Billy … you have some ‘splaining to do.

I don’t see taking Mertz as a sign we’re taking another QB. I see it as a sign that he’s all we could get.

    Hope I’m wrong!

Is Rashada an EE? If so that will help a bit with learning the playbook/scheme, plus he needs to bulk up -- listed at 6'4" 185lb but I'm guessing even that is exaggerated.

Where is Hartman in all of this. Did he stay at WF or is he going pro?

Good point. There’s another transfer portal date in May.

Mertz has all the tools. But this was 2021. Evidently, he dropped off this year and is widely considered to be a bust ...

I don't understand the Leary transfer. Why would he do that since he would be assured the starting position at NC St. Unless it's NIL money related.

I do believe that in this new world it almost doesn't make sense to redshirt anybody. If they're good, they'll be gone in three. Use 'em.

Effectively, we traded Evers for Mertz. Not bad.

    Happy ESD Wanne -

Man, what a "sobering" year for UF football and recruiting this cycle seems to be ending with a "whimper" not a "bang". (Damn)

Thoughts: For those that say "On the Field Results" does not mean much to recruits, I'm not so sure I "buy" that in this era of new realities. UF finishing 0 - 3 with a trainwreck performance in the bowl has not helped matters and by my way of thinking is now being reflected at the close of NSD.

I posted earlier that it seems to me the UF NIL power-brokers are taking a cautious "wait and see" approach to the "Auction" for the last dozen 5 and high 4 star studs on the market, which would explain why UF's recruiting antenna seems to have just disappeared.

I think we fans need to acknowledge that UF has fallen quite far off the map of leading power players and an immense amount of work lies ahead if the Gators wish to be "players" in the immediate future.

I liken UF to be one of those passangers that "just missed" the last boarding call for the Ocean Liner as it watches the vessel motor off into the distance.

It's a different reality now, it's hard to "win" when we don't even fully understand the game or the rules.

I'm afraid right now, success favors the BOLD and of course "translated" that means using the NIL carrot in ways that may be construed as against "the rules". Well rules don't mean shit if they are not enforced.

That's upsetting. Pratt won't be an option either since he's staying put. :(

He wasn’t near the top of my list, but he is here, and we should get behind him. To be fair, he played in a crappy offense behind an awful OL and no real weapons to throw or hand off to. There is a reason Chryst was shown the door 5 weeks into the season. If anything, Nape has been on point as a talent evaluator. I’ll give the kid the benefit of the doubt.

I thought Wisconsin always has a good OL.
