Have you seen his high school championship highlights? He ran the option in HS and had a long TD run to win the championship.
While that's true, it seems like the LOI has been watered down since the kid could "fax" it in then after spring practice enter into the transfer portal.
I was thinking if you are an EE. You could go through spring practice and then transfer. It's happened to us before.
We would release them from their loi if they wanted to go somewhere else before fall. LOI doesn’t hold much weight nowadays. If they enrolled and went through spring, that may complicate things, but pretty sure there was a qb that went back and fourth between usc and tx a year or two ago, and they let him move again after spring with no repercussions.

It was WR Bru McCoy, who then transferred to tennessee this year and somehow got yet another free transfer
Pretty sure he would have to burn his one time get out of jail free card but essentially makes the LOI almost pointless. If things keep going the way they are pretty soon the one time transfer rule without sitting out a year will go away as well.
It’s because they released him from his loi, so he didn’t have to use his freebie. Or it’s been a few years, I guess it’s possible he’s graduated already, but I’m pretty sure it’s because he was released from his original loi. Nobody is held accountable anymore.
