It' the perfect time to cancel our game with them. Playing us is a huge benefit to that scUm program and does NOTHING for us.
A fool and his money will soon part. And bad deals happens along with various circumstances… injuries included. plus agents and players with get smarter.
Yeah, beating them is fun too, but they get more prestige just having us on their schedule than we do having them... It's a dirty fan base... gross.
Flip Watch: Top recruits being heavily pursued ahead of Signing Day "4-star WR Andy Jean Consensus Ranking: No. 364 Status: Committed to Florida The Skinny: Jean first committed to Miami in late January after a visit, but opted to decommit in March to explore more options. Among those was Florida, which made him one of their top wide receiver targets this cycle. He gave his commitment on July 30 to Billy Napier, but the other major in-state program, Florida State, has been chipping away at him in recent weeks. He has now been to Tallahassee twice in the past month, and there’s serious buzz about a late flip in the ‘Noles favor."
I would love our schedule to be a constant rotation of UM/UCF, fsu yearly, one cupcake, then all SEC. With one of Texas or Oklahoma yearly. It’s brutal but it’s great
Agreed, but we need them on our schedule to beat them. Scheduling bad teams doesn’t help your strength of schedule
Our strength is at the top every year, theirs isn’t . We will also have the ability to add a couple sec games possibly in tge future. No need to prop up those schools. We are doing them a favor bt scheduling because their schedules are trash.
So in a world where we can’t out bid them, we should remove all possibility of beating them on the field? And make it easier for them to have a better record? No
A better record in a weak conference doesn’t say much. Utah won the pac 12 and got beat by the bottom of the sec which happens to be us at the moment. Is Utah in the playoff? A win over an sec team could be just what they needed. I love beating them but most of the benefit is on their side. We don’t need them.
Especially with them being such douchebags . If it were just rivalry, fine, but I wouldn’t do them any favors.
That school would have dropped our strength of schedule if played then in the last five year... including this past year. So there goes that reason to play the pUke. So C'mon man, back at ya. Lol.
I'd play Miami and FSU annually if it were up to me and rotate the 3rd OOC game between USF and UCF. First two games against instate opponents, last two games of the year against in state opponents
We play in the SEC. Imo, any tough OOC game scheduled by the ADs is flat stupid. We don’t need to make our schedule any tougher. You don’t see Clemson playing Georgia anymore for ex. The LSU AD who scheduled FSU was/is a moron as this 1) kept them w/o hope for the playoffs and 2) the lost their AA DL for the season in that game. Miami & FSU need to play us, we don’t need them. Let them join the SEC if they want to play us.
iron sharpens iron. And yall gotta pick a side with how yall see Miami and FSU because on one hand yall are “well Cristobal cant coach and they’re just going to be another A&M and FSU just lucked into a good season, Norvell still an average coach” and now it’s “dont make the schedule any harder”, so which is it?
