He would never be able to have the runs he did but I’m just saying I could see him having 2200 yd 15 TD 5 INT kind of year. That would just put him in a similar passing ball park. I’m not saying he is as talented but none of the portal QBs we are geeking over are either. Though I think a few of them could be better passers than Miller for sure.
Only thing that I want from whoever is our QB next year is just be good passing in the intermediate route areas....the 10-20ish yard range. AR (and Emory going back to 2021) seemed to make the difficult passes more than the gimmies. Whether we have McCall, Platt, Hartman, Leary, Mertz, whoever at QB next year....just at the very least be AJ McCarron/Greg McElroy and i'm good with it. Just stabilize the passing game. If you told me w/o context that our QB in 2023 will have a 28 td to 10 int ratio with near 3,500 passing yards and a 65ish completion %, i'll sign up for that right now!
We were reaching since our roster was lacking in twitchy WRs. At that point it was a Hail Mary and it hasn't paid off yet or if ever at this point.

Hell, yes!!! There are a number of articles on Grayson, and the Gators need to get him or someone of his caliber. Obviously, we are seriously in the mix. Auburn made the stupid mistake of inviting another quarterback (Leary) @ the same time. Auburn invited McCall first, then Leary. Which tells me they were not settled on McCall. A rumor got started about McCall being able to transfer, which is not the same as qualifying. Qualifying is a whole different matter from transferring. Every school has certain requirements for degrees, meaning that sometimes you have to take more hours to finish said degree. Let's see how this plays out, but if Gator Nation knew just how good McCall is, they'd be super-excited!!! I can tell you that Napier played against Grayson in 2021, and he KNOWS HIS WORTH!!!
Yes, a quarterback with a reputation like McCall will help Pearsall to decide to stay. Otherwise, if the Gators don't move on someone, I wouldn't blame Pearsall for... I'm hoping for better things, though, fellas!!!
