Well done, my brother. Great post. Everyone should read it.

Remains to be seen, and I remain ALL IN on Billy Napier to do the above 2 and 3.

Billy Napier is as tough as they come. Crystal clear. And, he doesn't act like a belligerent ahole. We could not be in better hands.

I don't just think it's limited To the fan base college football in general is not built for the long term rebuilt now. With thr transfer portal and NIL you have 1 to 2 years to make it happen or your players simply get picked off by other teams. I think CBN would have worked very well at UF 10 years ago but unless he and the administration are willing to play the current version of the game I'm not sure about his future.

    Oh yes we could.
“You are what your record says you are” Bill (Not “Billy”) Parcells. So he’s a loser so far. He might be tough but I want my coach at UF to be smart. Not seeing it so far.
And you can’t take a Smart Pill and get better. You either are or you aren’t.

If he's so long term focused, why play AR?

If he's so culture oriented, why play AR?

That's what I see as well. Maybe at the end of next season, if they stink it up again, will he consider that the problem is not limited to the roster.

We are good. Hang in there. We are NCAA Title relevant in 2024. Won't take as much time as some think.

They think the key to winning is just cycling through people until we hit it big.

Very much hope so, because the opening game of 24 is Billy’s money game, one he absolutely can’t lose, imho.

Great question and you could be spot on about next year. Short of 3 DL in the portal with 2 being immediate players, a linebacker or two with one being a starter, 2 OL with one being an immediate starter, Pratt, Leary, McCall, or Hartman, a safety, and a tight end coming in your spot on. All of those needs need to be met. For some reason Billy didn’t do it last year with no DL, no lb’s, no Te’s, etc. 3-4 players transferring in were huge helps but we needed 10. If we miss in any of the areas above easily could be 5-7 or 6/6. Billy’s gotta have 8 next year and beat some rivals. Norvell is a perfect example of using the portal. He saw it was going to take too long recruiting and hit the portal hard and did a great job. Still doing a great job and three portal pick ups so far have been big pick ups.

If you look at Michigan's schedule from 2015-2019, the Weasels played 23 P5 teams with 10+ wins. That is a strong schedule. By comparison, we played 14 such opponents. Even if you add the six 9-win SEC opponents during that span, we still come up short.

The game Billy is coaching is different from even 2015, however. Our administration and staff needs to learn and better exploit the Portal and NIL game.

This is partially true - our fanbase like many others are not patient. At the same time, its not blindly cycling through coaches. Do you think Mullen or McElwain didnt want to get fired and collect the buyout? Atleast Muschamp made an effort to rectify things and in the process screwed us further. But Mullen did not even try. I attribute this to a bad hire - not doing due diligence on the recruiting ability of the coach which is a key ingredient at Florida.

Very well said. Old news that many walked into situations similar to or worse than Billy and produced much more than Billy did. 5 years not acceptable. Should be winning or at least have winning records at UF. Just Beat Vandy and you have a winning record and yes one game does matter as it’s a picture or a bit of foreshadowing to a bigger problem. Need a more intense and urgent Billy.

Yes, I guess you could say it's "cycling through coaches" to go through any amount more than 1, technically. So it is true if you look at it that way.

I'm talking about people who seem to think firing coaches after 2-3 years and just picking new ones until one succeeds is going to get us anywhere. All it will get us is a patchwork roster that has absolutely no direction. Conveniently that is what we have right now so lets just fix that before we cycle again.

Still is. Miss him. Never have about like him again. Wish Billy had his fire, intensity, urgency, and hate to lose attitude. Hoping he changes his mindset soon. Losing seasons, losing to all rivals, losing to Vandy, and not showing up to a bowl game not good.
